May I say that for 58 years I've been a fan of this team. I've thrown beers through a patio door (paid for that), had dents pulled out of car doors (paid for those), and cried honest to God real tears as a kid when Bart Starr scored in the Ice Bowl. How the Boys were doing had a profound impact on my life. My father infected me with the Cowboys Curse and I in turn, have done it to my son, (perhaps one day he'll forgive me). So, I don't need to hear from anyone decrying my allegiance to this Team for the following thought:
During the GREAT teams, the 1970s and even the Danny White years, into the dominant 1990s teams, as a fan, you always KNEW what you were going to get on game day. You KNEW it. Did we lose some? Absolutely but, it wasn't because of some intangible. We were always prepared and we played hard. That is the difference - at least for me. I know what this bunch is capable of and I sincerely hope they achieve it. But I don't concretely KNOW what to expect when they tee it up.
And unless you are privy to something I'm not .. neither do you.
