After re-watching the Jacksonville tape, I am certain that the team can clean up the mistakes. The Jacksonville loss came at the perfect time, where do we go from here? This loss will make the team aware of situational football. From poor play calls, to lack of execution to missed tackles there is plenty of areas the team can improve. Losing like this stings. The team will pulverize Philly.
  1. Not getting a first down at the end of regulation is an eye opener. Dallas should have imposed their will pounding the run between the tackles on first down. Ran the ball on second, then had a manageable third down. I would have loved to have seen a Super Jumbo package with Peters as a TE beside Tyron. I am not opposed to a pass on 3rd down, however it has to be completed. I would have rather seen the a spread formation instead of max protection. Pollard, Lamb, and Shultz are all chain movers. A 3 yard positive gain at least keeps the clock moving.
  2. The defense has enough bad film and realize that team's will run the ball and try quick passes. DQ will strategize and be prepared, I expect Tank and Kearse to step up and stop this. I also expect for Quinn to use a deeper rotation to keep the team fresher. I am not hating on Bossman, the young pup will adjust his game. I don't expect him to start, however when he is in the game, he will play at a higher level. I guarantee that he will improve by leaps and bounds from studying and coaching.
  3. Dak and Moore can clean this up. I rather see this in the regular season than in the playoffs. This team has enough playmakers to be formidable. They need to establish the run and lean on it heavily throughout the game. I expect the receivers to be more sure handed, Brown will go off now, watch him kill guys blocking now.
  4. After this team wins the Superbowl, this Jacksonville game will have been the tape that the team will have learned the most from. I love being a Cowboys' fan. This 10 win season has been exciting.
  5. Enjoys the ride fellas, we are Superbowl bound. Thank goodness for this loss, humble pie is a great learning dessert.

Go Dallas!!!

Moore is evolving a little too slow, for my taste. Dak is who he is... anyone expecting more growth from him are fooling themselves. The defense is a work in progress. So it all comes down to the same old variables...blocking from the offensive line (run and pass) and run stopping from the defense.

The trenches will decide our faith.

I lie the positivity and overall tone of the post but using the term like Pulverize is bit of an exaggeration LOL

with our injuries at key positions and and the fact Philley is good even without Hurts, we will have a hard time beating them.

loom at the qbs we nearly lost too of late having teams that shouldn't hang with us make it a 4th qtr game or ot loss. CB and LB come to mind

Now you have team in philly that more then their QB, one of the better OL/DLs in the game, great overall defense.. lie we did with rush they can beat anyone even with a backup if the team shows up. remember Nick foles in 17..

You dont need a loss to learn situational football that too at pro level. Madden or pee wee can teach you situational football.

When to call run.
When to call time outs.
When to burn other team's timeout etc dont need a game loss to learn.

There is never a good, nevermind perfect, time for a loss. This team needs to hate losing as much as they like winning.

You have to hate losing much more than you love winning. Winning the SB should just be relief that you didn't lose your last game, and get a break from the threat of losing again for a few months.

Haven't we heard this before? And how long does it take for Kellen Moore to get it right?

My question...... Which is better?........A hitchhiker that is standing in the same spot, all day? or A hitchhiker that is walking while with the thumb out during the day?

Think about it.....you'll get the answer about Our franchise and Kellen Moore regarding a loss coming at tthe right time.

DQ is a decent Defensive guy but its overstated. The talent on the defense is also overvalued. This happens every year. I dont think we are talented as we been led 2 believe defensively.

There is no perfect time for a loss when the team is trying to chase down the division leader. But I get the point. The last time Dallas lost a game like this they came back with a fury and demolished the Vikings. Maybe the do the same this week, but I think the injuries are too much.

What I have noticed though is Dallas is not playing the way they played earlier in the year. The pass rushers are not getting home. The team is not always swarming to the ball. They are missing tackles. And they are falling for the misdirection again.

I don't like the 3 and out from the offense which come too frequently. But the defense allowing TD drives when they take a big lead is also disturbing. The team maybe did need a wake up call but we'll see this week if that is the case.

..it probably did. Now this team, feels how bitter it can be when you dont take care of business.

aside from that. They have enough talent, to amends things and get to other side.
