That’s not true. Look at Wentz, Tannehill, Cousins, Goff, Geno, Ryan; second chances, third chances… FitzPatrick got like 6 chances.

Regardless of what happens in Dallas, there are only about 25 solidified #1 QBs in the NFL in a given year. Dak will be around for a decade somehwere if he wants

NFL teams understand how the Cowboys have won the last four weeks even if some fans don't (or just want to push their narrative).

The Cowboys are the only defense to hold every opponent to 1 TD. Their offense has score 7 TDs in their 4 wins. It's fairly obvious.

The truth is out there, and the Cowboys played better without Dak.
The offense no longer held the team back, and Cooper Rush moved the ball, and the defense didn't have to play by themselves.

In 2021 Dallas lost three games by three points.
Week
1. Tampa Bay - 31 - 29
12. Las Vegas (OT) - 36 - 33
17. Arizona - 25 - 22

Dak was blamed for all those loses. If Dak had this defense, would those be wins?

The idea Dak is the reason the team loses ignores the defenses he has been saddled with. I am not saying he doesn't make mistakes. But the very same excuse of no defense was the mantra of the Romo fans when the team lost.

And in a sense it is a solid reason. Romo didn't have a defense. Yet, Dak has not had a stellar defense in his career except for the run his rookie year. And even then that defense was not what is showing up on the field for Dallas week after week in 2022.

2021 the average score of the opponent was 21.05
2022 the average score of the opponent is 14.4

Another way of looking at it is this. 4th down and 2 in a game where the scoring was not a blowout. McCarthy decided to kick the field goal and turn it over to a defense that would stop the Rams.

That is a coach, with a QB that threw for 102 yards against the World Champions, understanding he has a defense that win the rest of the game.

Maybe all you who are so convinced Dak will choke ignore he, in the recent past, came close to winning games when the defense was not like the one this year.

The argument is he could not beat teams who had a .500 record or better.

But was it the QB or the defense that couldn't beat those teams?

It is not Dak only that loses games. I still have the questions about him. I have lost a bit of my confidence. But with this defense, I am willing to see how he produces.

One last point. McCarthy made that decision about the 4th and 2 because of confidence. His game management is different when he has a defense.

When was the last time McCarthy has had a solid defense? 2010.

How did that season end up? Take a guess.

So, against Arizona, Dak choked and the Cardinals were ahead 22-7 when they started playing loose on defense. They had thoroughly beaten the Cowboys, and it was clear. Dak then did his usual, racking up stats and making it look like a close game against a loose defense, but it wasn't. That's where Dak gets his stats- against weak defenses.
I'd have to look up the others, but it is usually the same m.o. with Dak.

Facing the defense you saw yesterday, would they have been ahead by that amount when you lay claim to the Cards loosened up?

You cannot have one point of view without acknowledging the other side of the coin with a possible championship defense playing for Dak.

If you just see it one way, then you are not objective. Your excuses are the usual from those who have an agenda and throws our conjectural comments.

The point is that the Cowboys defense isn't having to play the game by themselves with Rush. Other teams can't score as much when the defense of the Cowboys aren't playing alone.

Rush threw for 102 yards yesterday. The anointing his play as something special ignores this may be the absolute perfect storm to show how a team can win with a bus driver. When harassed yesterday, he looked similar to Stafford. And Rush couldn't carry Stafford's jock strap.

The fan is quick to herald after a win, and quicker to blame after a loss. Regardless of the prejudice against Dak. there is nothing to suggest the team could not be 4-1 if Dak did not get hurt. Unless you are speaking to a fan who believes his emotions over objectivity.

I am not saying Dak is the savior of this team. I am saying Dak is a better football player than Rush. Game planning and defense make Rush look better than he is.

The prefect storm is:
Dak comes back and we have a top 10 offense to go with a top 5 defense and damn good special teams. Then we win the whole damn thing.

Dak hasn't shown he can run a top 10 offense and beat good teams.
He runs a top 10 offense playing against loose defenses and weak teams.
