They were called for it in big moments vs. the Cowboys last time they played.

I do wonder if the league will do something about the OTs starting their drop early thing. Lane Johnson is a master at it but he's not the only one in the league that does it. The "rule" allows OTs to reset their foot prior to the snap but I wonder if they are just exploiting the language of the rule here.

Then again, allowing them to start early helps them protect the QB and the league is all about protecting QBs. So maybe they won't change anything.

The pre-snap movement is completely legal and has been a known loophole in the rules for years now, especially at the T spots. I'm shocked more teams don't teach their guys to use it, maybe its much harder to actually do than it looks like, but with as much attention as it is getting now I wonder if the rules committee doesn't take a deeper look?

The lineman downfield issue I think absolutely needs to be addressed this offseason. The league is giving too much grace to these RPO teams. I love the RPO, but if it doesn't get fixed quick I think football is going to be reduced to every team running the same offense. It's just too hard to play defense when you give a QB 3-4 seconds to make their read and let the oline get down field.

and have their linemen moving on pre snaps
Looks like your exploding arrow actually hit the target this time. Looks to the naked eye Lane Johnson jumps the snap more often than not.

The RPO has a little Leeway to it

if they call it everytime the offense would go extinct

and the false starts were as clear as day ...idk how they didnt catch Lane Johnson moving
If it breaks the rules it should go extinct

Technically the refs allow movement as soon as the center starts to move his arm, not the ball. The eagles, and several other teams, take advantage of it. Watch the best OT in the league Trent Williams, he appears to move early on most snaps. If the league doesn’t enforce it they will continue to do it. As they should

So it's ok for the linemen to be down field 8 yards because the play works, wow. On one play Philly had 3 linemen down the field 8 yards and got a good hit on KC db and almost hurt him bad. But it's ok because we don't care about the rules but the play call instead

I see this a lot and it doesn't get called. The rule is a lineman can block downfield if he initiates the block within 1 yards of the LOS. But he cannot disengage and then reengage or block another guy before the ball crosses the LOS. I saw the 49ers downfield a couple of times against Dallas and it was not called. But I see a lot of teams get away with it. Maybe it needs to be an area of focus next year.

If a team can exploit a rule they should do it, it is the smart thing to do.
The players would have to be good at starting early and doing the block downfield, so as to not get a call.
That only comes from practice and smart coaching.

GB used to hold alot, but they did it in such a manner they didnt get called for it. That was smart coaching.

This reminds me of the Seahawks during the legion of boom days. Grab and hold and make contact on every play and dare the refs to call it every time
Or Michael Irvin pushing off every play his whole career, until he single handedly forced the league to start enforcing OPI

It's not cheating if you're doing it rigjt there on the field in front of everyone's eyes.

Tom Brady and the Patriots cheat. The Astros cheat.

Irvin, Trent Williams, and Lane Johnson just play, and it's up to the refs to flag them or not. They ain't hiding anything
