Gonna be the reason this team loses in the first round and imo the main reason for the demise of this defense and pass rush. DQ is a raid to run as many of his exotic all out blitzes bc he can’t trust scrubs like Kelvin Joseph or Nashon Wright to cover anyone down the field. I really think this has been the ultimate reason why the pass rush has been so non existent the last 3 games. Anyone?

Our pass rush is being deterred by the threat if running. They've got the book on us now. Without that rush those dbs don't hold up. Add in Parsons is looking worn down and it's not good.

I said I wouldn't get hyped until we played good ball in December and here we are again.

What I don't get is where are the safeties, Diggs is clamping down on one side of the field how come there is never a safety helping on the other side? They have given up 40 plus yard receptions every game since they played GB.

Kind of sad that we are calling a secondary that has corners drafted in the 2nd and 3rd last year “makeshift”

I’m more concerned with the lack of physicality and stopping the run.

Our D seems like they just want it Rush the passer. But you have to earn that right. We’re soft and with backup corners Quinn hasn’t adjusted.

I think this defense is predicated on having good man cover corners so that one or two of the safeties (Wilson and or Kearse) can play in the box . Now that the corner play outside Diggs is spotty at best (even Bland, as good as he’s been in moments, dude still gets beat a damn lot), the safeties have to play more coverage and the only safety on our roster who is equipped for that imo is Malik Hooker. All in all, unless Mullen and Alexander can come in and make an impact, this team is ****ed.

Only problem is with the draft, unless going to draft 2 DT in the draft you are right back to square one because one will not work, if no Hankins the rest of the DT are not starters.
