The big money-making college programs have an ally with the networks. It's an incestuous relationship: the big conferences have the big money and the networks have the big coverage.

So you get lies...lies abundant and perpetual when it comes to big conferences and their star teams.

The new college season is one night old and we already have two examples.

Exhibit #1: USC-Hawaii. Let's get real. Hawaii hangs 36 points and 31 first downs on the USC defense and we are supposed to come away impressed with the ESPN darling Trojan team?

Exhibit #2: Accd to ESPN we are supposed to come away thinking that Utah "upset" Pitt...this after the Utes have repeatedly destroyed top 10 teams over the last 3 years. Does ESPN believe they can imbed amnesia in our brains via internet implant?

After Utah completely stuffed SEC Alabama's running game are we surprised that #15 Pitt could only gain 2.5 yards per carry against the Ute defense?

ESPN and Big College Football = Fraud City. They repeatedly **** in their pants and expect we can't smell it? Their bias for the large conferences and big schools is so onion-skin transparent that it becomes a joke...not only on ESPN...but on the power brokers of college football.

I went to a Pac-10 school, but over the years I've become more a fan of the little schools than anything else.

I love to see them shred the big schools.

I'm just wondering how Pitt is supposed to be bigger than Utah when the Utes are going to the Pac 10 and have won two BCS bowl games while Pitt's only BCS appearance was a loss to Utah. :lmao:

I haven't seen anyone say I'm supposed to be impressed with USC or Pitt and who is stupid enough to believe preseason rankings?
