Unbelievable how every team on our conference is totally disfunctional to start 2024

Cowboys---check our last game and head scratching for the forseaable future...Dak...Big Mike...Quinn....Micah etc etc
Eagles... nobody has a clue, players and coaches...will Siriani get fired etc.... who gets cut for non performance ?....
Commanders..... starting from scratch.....who will coach...who will QB ???
Giants.....pizza making QB or draft another one?....new defensive coordinator to implement a new system

every team has issues but our conference just takes the cake for ineptitude....we may actually be a top contender next year due to the incompetence of all our competitors

WASH should rule the NFCE if they find a good coach and a QB

#2 overall Pick
70+ Mil in Cap Space
Young Talents on both sides, especially D-Line

This is a very attractive destination for a good Coach especially with the Cowboys and Eagles likely on the downfall

As the Joker said, people show You who they really are in their last Moments.

Players show who they really are in the playoffs.

Dak has show who he is plenty of times by now, some of us SEE it, others choose not to.

Washington looks to be on the right track. If they get a good coach watch out.
The coaching hasn’t been the big issue. They keep getting fired because they don’t have a QB. They’ve been looking for over two decades and the best one they had they let walk. They’ll continue to struggle until they find a legit franchise QB.

The niners should be chomping at the bit and salivating being in or competing for the SB for the next few years at least with the way the NFC is looking. They have the stability of their core players, GM and HC to continue to rule. Their only competition will be from the AFC champ in the SB.

As for the NFCE....just footnotes in the scheme of things.

Well either Williams or Maye, one of those two should be the real thing. I think chances are decent at least.

People act like getting a HC and QB is a simple fix for Washington. HC and QB is almost everything you need to win. They’re missing both.

I think the NFC North will keep them on their heels. Not to mention the Rams in their own division.

There’s no should be with any QB coming out of college. Everyone thought RG3 “should be” the real thing and he wasn’t. Washington used a top five pick on Heath Schuler in 94 and everyone thought he should be the real thing and wasn’t. Drafting a QB is a crapshoot. Look at the Panthers, they took Bryce Young over CJ Stroud. A huge mistake!

How many years has Washington been "A QB away from running this thing" according to the posters here?

Their roster sucks. It is nearly devoid of top shelf NFL talent outside of McLaurin and Allen. You don't just fix that in a single offseason even with all the cap space in the world, especially when you don't have a QB. Even if you find a QB, it is still possible to end up like the Chargers.

Dallas will probably have every chance in the world to win the division again next year which actually drives me crazy because it will probably be part of Jerry's justification for running it back with mostly the same team.

They had the makings of building a very good team in 2012 after RG3’s solid rookie season. They made the playoffs after going 5-11 the previous season. But he regressed the following season and took the team down with him. They had a few decent teams with Cousins but since he left they haven’t had a winning season. A couple of years ago they had a pretty good defense with Young and Sweat. Their biggest problem has been at QB. You can’t win consistently shuffling QBs every season trying to find one. To build a solid team you need stability at QB.

If they had stability at the position they wouldn’t keep having to waste draft picks trying to find a QB. They’ve burned something like 6 first round picks on QBs the past couple of decades. Those picks could have gone on other positions. It’s hard to plug holes when you’re burning high picks on QBs. They wasted two or three picks on Carson Wentz a couple of years ago. The QB position is what’s holding them back. They wouldn’t have near as many holes had RG3 developed into a great QB.

Well we won this year so that means someone else will win the division next year, it’s tradition

Lol, right track to what exactly? No QB, OL, DE, CB… LB and RB are iffy at best and their best DT is playing on borrowed time. Who knows what the have in WR but their best one is on the downside of his career!

It’s amazing that the Cowboys, Giants and eagles all signed meh QBs to stupid contracts!
At least ours is closer to the end but Jerry can extend Dak and screw things up even more.

Well the Cowboys, Iggles and Giants have QB contracts that will cripple their franchises for years...that leaves the WFT who aren't as far away as one would think

The "rookie QB contract" has beco.e the most powerful weapon in the NFL.

Even an all time great like Patrick Mahomes can't overcome it.

Frankly...if I were a GM....I do t care how good the QB was....I'd just keep drafting one every 2 years, hope for the Purdy's, Strouds, or Hurts/Dak (BEFORE EXTENSION VERSION)....and constantly have tons of cash to surround them with talent, and tons of draft picks (you'd be trading good young QBs all the time).

But...teams like having "face of the franchIse" for marketing purposes
