The NFC is VERY bunched up for the playoffs....yes it's early, but here is what it looks like:

Seattle 8-2 (assuming they beat the 49'ers)
Dallas 7-3
Giants 7-3
Chicago 7-3
Carolina 7-3
Tampa 7-3
Atlanta 6-4

Sitting pretty nicely right now.

That Carolina and Giants game looms large

I think we can get by BOTH of them. We already beat one of them and didn't even play our best game doing it.

On the other hand, we haven't played very well in quite a while.

well the panthers better play better then the did today or we might be in second place before we face the giants. assuming that we lose against denver. if we play like we have the last two weeks we will not beat denver on thursday.

BUT.... These team at the top, will now start facing each other and you will start to see who is the contenders and pretenders.

Why do you have us at 2nd? With the tie-breaking rules this looks a litle bit different:

Seattle 8-2 (assuming they beat the 49'ers)
Chicago 7-3
Dallas 7-3
Giants 7-3
Carolina 7-3
Tampa 7-3
Atlanta 6-4

Doesn't change much though. Except we don't get a week of rest ;)

Atlanta's schedule is somewhat rough.

@ Carolina, @ Chicago, @ Tampa Bay, Carolina....with wins against New Orleans and Detroit mixed in there.

Evertthing about our team says playoffs save for the o-line.
