For those of you who do not watch the hit comedy cartoon "South Park", there is an episode in which the father of the main characters finds out that the elementary school that the main characters attend eliminated kickoffs which led to him creating a sarcastic variant of football called "Sarcastaball" that the school board actually accepts not realising the sarcasm and makes the father the coach of the school with rule changes such as hugging replacing tackling. As the episode progresses, he becomes the coach of the Denver Broncos, and it turns the NFL into an absolute disaster, especially when it comes to officiating. I can't show much in the way of episodes here as it'd violate the rules of this site.
Given the rules on roughing the passer and such, for which even players like Micah Parsons clearly has disdain, I think it'd be a great idea for the league to rename itself the "National Sarcastaball League" and follow exactly what South Park did. It'd be a ratings hit lol. They're going that way anyway.
