For those of you who do not watch the hit comedy cartoon "South Park", there is an episode in which the father of the main characters finds out that the elementary school that the main characters attend eliminated kickoffs which led to him creating a sarcastic variant of football called "Sarcastaball" that the school board actually accepts not realising the sarcasm and makes the father the coach of the school with rule changes such as hugging replacing tackling. As the episode progresses, he becomes the coach of the Denver Broncos, and it turns the NFL into an absolute disaster, especially when it comes to officiating. I can't show much in the way of episodes here as it'd violate the rules of this site.

Given the rules on roughing the passer and such, for which even players like Micah Parsons clearly has disdain, I think it'd be a great idea for the league to rename itself the "National Sarcastaball League" and follow exactly what South Park did. It'd be a ratings hit lol. They're going that way anyway.

Players like Micah aren't coming after RTP penalties - I think you're missing the point.

I think the point that defensive players have been making for years is that they don't receive the same protection per the rules and the way games are called that offensive players do.

Fair enough, but still, the call on Jarrett and Chris Jones were Sarcastaball-levels of bad calls.

I see the fins got screwed by the Tua head injury. There back up bridgewater went down and got up. Someone saw him stumble or something and held him out of the rest of the game. We are going to see this more and more.He looked fine and said he was fine and passed all the tests. Of a qb goes down he need to stay down and make sure he is stable before he gets up. But guessing if he is down to long then they will pull him also.

Just make it flag football.
They have already done that to the probowl game.

Oh great idea. I've got all kinds of time and perfectly working hoofs to make that happen lol (just playing on that episode a bit more lol). But seriously, the league is quickly becoming Sarcastaball.

ha yeah man, i loved that episode.

Its becoming a joke...and just as we got a hard hitting defense....there will be some bad calls coming...

Cuz it's totally what the fans want. I could watch that Broncos Colts game 3 times, check that, 9 times in a row this season. It's so exciting.

The wussy-fiction of the NFL has been going on for several years. We all know this. The NFLPA has had these wussy rules incorporated into the rule book and CBA. Training camp is now camp cupcake, QBs are protected to the point they should wear a dress and the hitting is regulated to the degree that it no longer looks like the same sport. It's far beyond the point of crying about it.
