You probably don't know of him by name, but you certainly would by all the songs he wrote.

His first big hit was "Silhouettes" by the Rays (and one of my all-time favorites).

In the 60's he wrote a ton of hits for Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons.

Didn't not know him until I watched the movie "Jersey Boys". Seems like a very impactful songwriter. Respect to Mr. Crewe and all he achieved, may he rest in peace.

Boy, that's for sure! I saw the report on the evening news last night and even though I recognized his name, I wasn't even remotely aware of how diversified his body of work was.

"Can't Take My Eyes Off You" is one of my all-time favs.
