The Past 27 Seasons Have Taught Me A Lot And Shaped My Expectations

Another disappointing end to the season, again. It seems the Jones model of running an organization has come up short again.

I am actually proud of how far this years team went considering all the disadvantages they have to play under in the Jones model of franchise mismanagement.
  • We are not allowed to have a real, football GM
  • All players, coaches, and hot dog vendors report directly to the fuhrer so there is no pyramid organizational hierarchy
  • The "head coach" (i.e., "toothless lion") is not allowed to hire their own staff or have any actual authority to hire/fire as that power is exclusively for the fuhrer
  • We get stuck with the fuhrer's adopted sons (Garrett, Kellen "The Hammer" Moore, etc) who are hired as coaches and allowed to learn on the job
  • We witness horrific, short-sighted big contract decisions on players like Zeke, Jaylon Smith, and Dak that cripple the salary cap for years down the road
  • The fuhrer and son don't like to get free agents in the offseason like the previous 15 Super Bowl winners so that avenue is not open to us
  • The sun and the open curtains provide true drive enders like last seasons divisional round against the 49ers where a drive was killed because Cedrick Wilson was blinded by the sun
  • This team is never allowed to rebuild because that would mean the fuhrer actually admitted to fault
With all these limitations in place, it's a miracle we even made the playoffs this year or any of the past 27 seasons.

I used to think "even a blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while" AND "a stopped clock is still right twice a day" applied to this organization but it no longer applies.
The fuhrer's stubborn insistence of running every facet of the organization and micromanaging it to death all but ensures we will remain playoff irrelevant for decades to come courtesy of the Jones family.

The fuhrer however, does need your continued financial support, so be sure to buy jerseys, SWAG, and game tickets (prices will increase again this year) to endorse the fuhrer's method of management. #thanksJerry

I don't know what is worse, being bad every year, or being just good enough to get to the divisional round. Yuck either way. But I suppose there is some fun to be had in looking good all season, even if we must lay the inevitable egg.

Good news is- No fuhrer ever lasts. Bad news is- How long before something changes? That’s the question.

Here is what has always puzzled me. Even if we were to finally break through and make a conference championship appearance. How come no one has been able to convince Jerry that he STILL would not get the credit he craves....because even a broke clock is right twice a day?

The "football man" reputation he craves is something he is NEVER going to get. It's been 28+ years....NO ONE...NO ONE...in any line of work will get credit for finally breaking through...if it took them 28 years...especially in an industry where almost everyone else has done it since the last time you did it....and none of them got 28 years to get it done!!!!!!!!!!!

The Cowboys didn't love each other enough and that is why this failed. The Eagles are over there in a world of rainbows and unicorns salivating on each other. Dak loved himself too much and didn't spread it around.

I know...this is a family forum. ;)
