I just couldn't get past the irony of this article by Jon Jacques Taylor of ESPN Dallas.

http://espn.go.com/dallas/mlb/story...ries-missed-opportunities-haunt-texas-rangers

In the article he states that the Rangers did not lose the World Series because of any move Ron Washington made, they lost it because they couldn't make one pitch.

Can you ever imagine him saying, "The Cowboys did not lose this game because of of any call Jason Garrett made, they lost it because they couldn't get one yard."

I get that a pitching change is not the same as a play call but even "the one pitch" excuse takes the players off the hook, it's just a pitch is every bit the same as it's just a yard. He coddled Washington the entire series but holds Garrett to a completely different journalistic standard.

Just sayin'.

Do like I do. Only read relevant media. Such as injury reports, transactions, ect. I don't usually listen to anyone in the media. Sure some get under my skin, but for the most part just ignore them.

How are the players off the hook?

If he's applauding the management, where else can you lay the blame?

What did the pitchers have to do with that game? They sucked yes, but they didn't go the final 8 innings without scoring a run.

he's talking about game 6.

There's no way you pin game 6 on Wash. Game 7 somewhat but even if he puts CJ in earlier like he should have they probably lose 3-2. Wash didn't cause Micheal Young and Nellie Cruz to basically choke and Bill Buckner away the WS.

Ron Washington told the team "We're all champions" in the locker room after the game  Can you imagine how much a Cowboys coach would be ripped for that by the media after giving away a Super Bowl? Especially someone like Wade Phillips

any team that trots Darren Oliver out to the mound to close out the World Series deserves to lose.
