Subject to change anytime between now and the NFL draft (or even in the next 2 hours):

Cut:
1. Marc Columbo
2. Leonard Davis
3. Kyle Kosier
4. Marion Barber
5. Roy Williams
6. Marcus Spears
7. Igor Olshansky

Free Agents:
1. Logan Mankins, LG
2. Richard Seymour, DE

Draft:
6. Trade with Minnesota for #14 and #45. Minnesota picks Cam Newton, QB
14. Derrick Sherrod, RT
38. Cameron Heyward, DE
45. Benjamin Ijalana or Marcus Cannon, RG

Starters:
QB - Tony Romo
LT - Doug Free
LG - Logan Mankins
OC - Andre Gurode
RG - Ijalana/Cannon
RT - Sherrod
RB - Jones
TE - Witten
WR - Austin
WR - Bryant
WR - Hurd/ TE - Bennett

DE - Seymour
DT - Ratliff
DE - Heyward
OLB - Ware
OLB - Spencer/Butler
ILB - James
ILB - Lee
CB - Jenkins
CB - Newman
SS - Sensabaugh
FS - Owusa-Ansah

I went heavy on OL and DL because I think these units are the cornerstones to a championship team.

Is Carimi gone when we drafted Sherrod?

I like Sherrod but as a RT Carimi is the better fit.. Plus Carimi is virtually bust proof.

Thank you for getting Mankins.

In this scenario, I wasn't thinking of Carimi going in the top 15. You're right, Sherrod's natural position is LT, but I think he's the better overall OL than Carimi.

looked great.....until i saw the same, sorry secondary!

Give me another solid corner and move Newman to FS, and I could live with all of those changes...

If you don't like Spears then stay away from Cameron Heyward. Big guy, will be an anchor against the run, but will get very few TFL and even fewer sacks.

I agree...if anything, we need to draft a mammoth Casy Hampton, Ngata, Wilfork type NT that's 330+ and move Ratliff to DE.

lol don't know how many other Ngatas and Wilforks are out there, but finding one would be a godsend.

regardless, we need to draft linemen (offense and maybe a few on defense). The game is won in the trenches folks...and this season has shown it more than any other. Coming in as the superbowl favorite because "defenses won't know who to cover between Dez, Miles, Witten, Felix, and Roy", expectations were affable since we apparently forgot all about the play of the offensive line.

Get the line shored up this offseason, whether in the draft, free agency, or a combination of both. There is no excuse to not address the position and assume we can work with what we've got.

The secondary shouldn't be touched until we get some freakin linemen. Akwasi can hold his own if Alan Ball doesn't improve with some more experience.

Don't mind what you did but if those are our starting safeties we are in deep trouble.

We can't fix everything in 1 offseason (and my scenario was pretty far-fetched to begin with), but I would start by doing all we can to improve our OL and DL. With a good pass rush we won't need Pro Bowlers in the secondary to do well on defense.
