This is not a joke.
Executives brag about being able to take something that is worthless and turning it into a profit.
This is why Jerry is happy, while the fans are forced to endure the endless letdowns.
It's pure sport for Jerry; he sees it as a success that he could sign Dak to a $160million contract and never worry; he sees it as a medal of honor, in that he was still able to sell it.
PSL's are the crowning achievement of the NFL and city officials. They get a firm commitment from fans that pay for their enormous stadiums, and those fans are locked in.
So that gives the NFL execs the freedom to spend without fear of the repercussions of bad management.
Fantasy Football allows fans to feel as if they are great managers, and takes attention away from the poor quality of NFL management, which is full of nepotism and void of quality.
That's the real sport; selling trash as if it is gold.
When fans are frustrated, it's no wonder Jerry is smiling; he convinced them to believe, and knows he can convince them again.
I've always said, "It's naive to think that billionaires would leave their fortunes to a game of chance."
