If he puts in his "Golden Child" Jason Garrett for the remainder of the season and we continue to tank, he can't justify keeping him, and he will be forced to go out and hire a Bill Cowher heading into the new stadium next year. Now he can just keep Wade for the remaining games and give the helm to our brilliant OC in the offseason.;)

Might have something to do with the fact no team in the super bowl era has ever gone to the playoffs after firing a head coach during the season.

All firing your coach at midseason does is spread IT'S PANIC TIME! message to your entire team.

It rarely happens where a team will turn it around when a new coach comes into play. Plus coaching doesn't seem to be the main issue why the Cowboys aren't playing well(i.e. see Parcells).

If he fires Wade during the middle of the season the team is just going to quit so why would he announce Garrett the head coach when this team will quit on anyone after Wade is fired.

It would be a horrible move for this franchise and set us back quite a bit.

I agree and I don't think it would be the way to start Garrett career as a HC should he be the man Jerry goes with.

Cowher is just what the doctor ordered for this team. I would much rather have him than Jason Garrett, and I don't think that is a minority opinion. If he is available in the off-season, I say go get him.

Don't agree to all the reasons above but some are right on. This season isn't over by long shot. It's up to the players and coaches or the team to get rolling again. This will be a big game for their confidence one way or the other.

Cowher can't fix whats wrong with this team.

He is just a name and all of you will be calling for his head eventually as well.

This team does dumb stuff and its up to them to stop it.

Parcells was the best ever and he still couldn't stop them from getting double digit penalties and just finding the most absolutely craziest ways to lose a game.

We will be in the same situation with what ever coach coaches this team next if the players dont clean up THEIR OWN mistakes.

Firing Wade would be a knee jerk reaction to everything that is going on.

I don't want Wade fired right now because I don't have any faith in the guys on this staff to step up and fire up this team.

But.

If this team comes out and gets routed on Sunday by the Bucs then Jerry will know that Wade has lost this team and he will be fired early next week. There would be no sense in keeping Wade at that point because this is rock bottom week and if Wade can't get them to start crawling back then he's just taking up space.

Now if the team plays hard and winds up losing a tough battle then Wade stays. The Bucs are a solid team and Jerry knows this.

Unfortunately, you might be right. If you have a brand new stadium opening, it's easier to sell the fresh face if he hasn't already struggled as an interim coach.
