Does anyone actually believe they will admit their mistakes and change how they handle offseasons?

Of course not. They'll sit out FA again. They'll brag about their drafts and how they build through the draft. They'll point to Tyler Smith showing promise as a rookie LT, ignoring the fact that their 2nd and 3rd round picks made little to no impact on the season (which they need to if one just builds through the draft).

The one thing that can and will likely happen is that McCarthy could get sent packing. But that likely means Moore or Quinn is the next coach. Ugh. It would be high time to go outside the bubble and bring in a young, fresh, innovative coach. But we won't do that. We'll get a re-tread like McCarthy was or someone Jerry is comfortable with like Garrett.

When Jerry decides to take the QB position seriously for the first time since Aikman then I will believe that he actually wants to win.

15 years have been wasted on an undrafted talent and a 4th round talent.

As long as Jerry keeps doing what he's doing then I have no reason to think he cares about winning.

After the season they will fire McCarthy and then dress the pig up again and a large portion of the fan base will buy what they are selling. Jerry will still get cheered at training camp.

For as bad as they have been at building a champion, they are great of doing the hide the ball trick. They know most of the fans are suckers.

oh, he will point fingers. blame people. blame coaches. blame players. he knows Dak is not as popular. jersey's aren't flying off the racks. so when time comes to renew, he won't. make the fans happy. he will can McCarthy and bring sean peyton, generate more hope and wash, rinse, repeat. another 5 years after that, wash, rinse, repeat. the team is worth $11B by then and he doesn't care.

winning is not his top primary goal.

They'll fire him in December, Moore or Quinn will take over, they'll win a couple of meaningless games and Jerry will just sign one of those two to be his new HC. It's all so predictable with Jerry.

I normally agree, but wouldn't be surprised if he trades a bunch of assets for Sean Payton.

Oh I forgot about that. So we'll have a high first and second round pick this year and he'll dump them for Payton.

Wonderful.

Yeah that’s a problem for sure. Trading for a QB, or Sean could give a team high draft picks now. These team is just ran poorly. It’s amazing Jerry has made the NFL so much money but runs the Cowboys like it’s a small business.

Correct: JJ and his boy Jethro are all about making money. Don't care about a champioship team: been there done that. He's PT Barnum and we all know what Barnum famously said

We've seen 25 years of the same result and we know how this will end with the Jones boys at the helm. Somehow they've managed to pump hope into a losing franchise year after year after year. No QB, coach or anything they bring in will turn this around when you have the brass at the top of the franchise bungling things around.

The Eagles get several picks for carson wentz who they wanted to get rid of but we can only get a 5th for Amari. We get nothing for Cedric Wilson. Nothing For Lael. Nothing for Randy Gregory... and we try to replace all of those starters with cast-offs from other teams or rookies? Did anyone really expect this team to be good this year?

And there’ll be legions of fans that will applaud bringing in Peyton like that'll make a difference. Peyton will be forced to keep Boy Wonder (just as McCarthy was) under the guise if familiarity for Dak. No HC will make a difference here. Jerry spoke the truth 28 years ago. There are still 493 coaches to go.

MM isn't going nowhere he has another excuse and Jerry just can't admit he made a mistake. After last night's showing and the the penalties yet again not sure how anyone can think MM is anything but a fraud.

Pretty soon, the pitch forks are going to come out against MM. Cowboys nation will, once again, forget about Jerry and direct all their anger towards MM. He's going to be the scape goat and once again, Jerry will escape the criticism that he surely deserves.

I don't understand why there isn't billboards in Dallas talking about how awful Jerry is. Oh wait, he's got the majority of fans fooled into thinking he's the best ever.

One of Jerry's defining management styles is spinning everything in a positive way. That works great in business when motivating employees is half the battle. It doesn't work running a football team. Jerry does not look for errors or mistakes. He doesn't have a critical eye. Thats why he couldn't get along with Jimmy Johnson on a personal level. Jerry is the sunshine and rainbows guy. Jimmy was focused on the problems and ways to fix them. We need someone in that front office that has the authority to critically evaluate talent and make decisions. That is what is lacking. Nobody can be a critic or nay sayer in our front office, but you can't fix anything if you don't recognize problems. That's the inherent dilemma that has ruined this franchise for the past 26 years.

In their mind they are right. They just want fodder to say hey y’all wanted us to pay dak, we didn’t want to BUT We paid him for the fans and it failed. We were right, you are wrong.

they just care about being right and selling merch. Legit loled at the pro shop sending buy cowboys merch emails first thing this morning.

it’s getting hard to care for a team whose owners I despise so much.
