one game at a time my man.

Yep. Detroit is coming off a bye and can score a lot. Having said that they might have the worst D in football. It’s a noon game too where generally it takes our team awhile to wake up. But we should win if we play our game.

Detroit at home
Chicago at home
Bye
@GB
@Minny
Gents at home (Turkey Day)
Colts at home
Texans at home
@Jacks
Eagles at home
@Tenny
@Wash

Relax folks. ;)

Yeah, same goes for the Eagles and Giants. Besides us all playing each other, there is extreme detriment incoming. Not to mention, even though our schedule is “setting up nicely” it pales in comparison to their schedules. Vikes will be no walkover. Giants and Eagles games are extremely important and will be tough. Titans and Jacksonville will be tough.

I don’t really see “setting up nicely” unless this is from an eagles fan perspective.

...yep, yep. I rather be peaking late then early.

Come the bye, we should be 6-2.

I feel NYG might have same record by then.

Philly has a bye, then play PITT. That's possible loss there.

In any case, next time we face Philly it will carry real playoff incantations.

At AT&T.

None of them will be easy. Detroit won’t be. They are coming off a Bye and can score. Having said that look at who QB’s those teams. All drop back passers sans Hurts and Jones. That’s what our defense makes a living on.

Yes. We just need to take care of business these next 2 weeks with no significant injuries, and we're 6-2 at the bye. Every fan would have taken that record BEFORE the start of season.

Suppose the Giants and the Eagles finish with 13 and 14 wins respectively, and Dallas with 12. Is it possible to miss the playoffs?

It’s certainly possible. With Eagles winning our division, everything else in the NFC is a toss up.

Packers or Vikes in their division? One of these teams will be fighting for a wildcard.
The whole NFC West is a tossup. 49ers look the best but are decimated with injuries. Rams look horrible but they still have a shot. Cardinals like the Rams don’t look that great but have a shot, and offensively, the Seahawks are great but their defense bogs them down. Still, they have a shot. These teams will also be shooting for the wildcard spots. Giants will shoot for a wildcard spot along with us. NFC South…. Looks like they’re the new NFC East. I don’t know if any of them will be in the wildcard.

Anywho, we have at least 8 competitors for 3 spots. That’s why last night was so detrimental. Now, we no longer have a divisional spot to consider (4 spots including the divisional vs 3 wildcard spots only). Things just got a lot tougher. Especially with us facing the NFC North this year.

It’s unlikely but possible. The extra playoff spot does make it almost impossible to miss with that many wins.

Right now you have

1) Philly

2) Minnesota
3) Tampa Bay
4) San Francisco

5) New York
6) Dallas
7) Rams, Packers, Falcons

We own the tiebreaker over the Rams and Giants. Falcons will eventually fall out. So you’re looking at 3 spots for New York, Dallas. LA/SF, Green Bay, Seattle

Philly plays New York twice, so they could potentially give NY two more losses.

There is slim chances that 3 wild card teams win 12-13 and don’t win their division

The three game stretch of Green Bay, Minnesota and New York makes or breaks us.

Thats 3 teams we will see in the playoffs potentially

Yeah that Sunday before Turkey Day at Minny, and than NY is tough. But it’s Cousins and NY is beatable too as they still have Jones at QB.
