The sweet spot for an Edge could be at 56!

Pro Football Network's Edge Rankings after rd 1:

39-Ojabo
41-Mafe
43-Drake Jackson
50-Sam Williams
52-Ebiketie
56-Cameron Thomas
63-Sanders
70-Enagbare

It looks like the position falls off a cliff, after this 2nd tier grouping.

I love the developmental DEs, but all the good ones after the 1st tier are dudes that’ll likely get killed against the run in year 1 and you hope they develop.

Im high Ebiketie and Thomas. You could talk me into a trade down for either or moving up in the 2nd.

I’m all trading back but don’t still it is realistic this yr as there will be many similar graded prospects. If you take a developmental edge, you play him as more if a specialist early on in their careers. I don’t see quality after rd 2, si we better get one early

+1 Not sure Ebiketie or Mafe makes to 56 but Cameron Thomas is an interesting prospect.........

I agree. I love the idea of someone like Green at 24 then maybe Williams or Bonnito in the 2nd.

I think they can be impact situation pass rushers year 1 and hopefully at least develop to be average run defenders. I’d imagine Quinn would like to have that traditional speed rushing RDE.

We’ll probably reach for one of them at 24 if all of the Offensive linemen are gone since we backed ourselves into a corner with no real talent at DE.

A player like who TB drafted last year from Washington, forgot his name-Joe Tryon

Give me SAM WILLIAMS!!!

Cowboys need more picks in 2nd and 3rd.

Tons of talent on 2nd day, would even trade down multiple times to do so.

Also should take a chance with Amare Barno in 4th as well.

Please no to making multiple trade downs. I’m still suffering after that special teams draft we had years ago. Please no!

The Cowboys need to take advantage of the wide receiver issues currently with Green Bay and Kansas City. The Cowboys can trade down with both teams and get an extra 3rd.

They both have multiple 1st rd picks, they aren't trading up in a deep WR class without star potential.

They both have other issues besides receiver. Both of Chiefs picks are behind the Cowboys. If Olave falls to 24, AFC teams might be fighting to move up to that spot to get him. I am telling you 24 is a sweet spot for a guard, center, linebacker, last pass, and receiver. Let’s say Green, Johnson, Linderbaum, Smith, Dean and Olave is there at 24, a small trade down would get us an extra 3rd round pick.

I just don't see trade downs being available this yr as there will be many similar graded prospects.

All you need is a team that wants a specific player. It is obvious we will use all our 5th round picks. Has anybody caught your eyes for later picks?
