I’m not going to act like the season is over, or that I’m done being a fan, but the FO really needs another Will McClay who’s job it is to tell the Jones they are drinking their own koolaid. This team has overrated talent, top to bottom

Every single player on this team is overrated except maybe Aubrey, Lamb, and DLaw, because we choose to only see the facet of talent and not the complete player. We overrate Parsons who can’t hold up against the run. We greatly overrate Martin who might be the worst lineman right now. Don’t even get me started on guys like Hooker, Zeke, Ferguson, etc. These guys are NFL average at best. And yes, Dak is overrated.

I will never understand why an FO that constantly overrates players doesn’t sign them earlier when they are cheaper. We should’ve let Martin walk last year instead of extending him. We should’ve made Dak play for a contract. Do you think after today the FO would be leaning toward signing him at the end of the season? Carr is way cheaper and looked worlds better.

I think they FOs opinions on their players reflect their own arrogant opinions of themselves. They are great talent finders and therefore they can’t be wrong about a guy aging, or about value. They overrate players because they overrate themselves

Who has had the better career? Dak. Can't judge players off of one game.

Our defense made the saints look like the greatest show on turf. We looked lost and slow

Everyone knows that #4 is vastly overrated...and is now obscenely overpaid, financially hamstringing the world's most valuable sports franchise for another half-decade. Did he throw a single spiral today? Aubrey (a true baller, and the only guy who made the contest even remotely interesting), Lamb & Tolbert made plays...and may advance to the head of what is otherwise a remedial class.

The RB corps are a complete joke. The team lost Pollard (trying to conserve money for the top jersey-sellers), with an apparent scheme to replace him with four guys. Early returns suggest that strategy is not working out.

There are no awards for an appalling defensive unit. Parsons (who also has a disturbing habit of wilting when a game goes south) proceeded directly to late-season form...in Game 2. DLaw was quiet, and the secondary turned up to a track meet in cement shoes.

Meeting an 0-2 club next week, there is no reason why the home team shouldn't be getting points.

You also can’t judge a career without context. Carrs teams stunk. Dak has had a contender every single year
Sure a contender that bows out every year in the first round. What a win!!!!

"We all know the RB room is duct tape and string, but outside of that it’s hard to pin down a weak spot." -McMicah

Last week this guy could not find "another weakspot" in a HEAVILY FLAWED team. Now the Stevie Wonder fan with amnesia suddenly sees the light. Smh. Better late than never I suppose.

Week 2, we lost. Time to move on, plenty of football left to be played.

Are the same fans giving up saying we suck the same ones that said the win over the Browns meant nothing?
So this game means something at this point?

That happens when you celebrate your stats without putting them into context. ;)

They’re not overrated considering they shouldn’t even be considered good in the first place with the horrid roster we possess. No RB, 1 good WR, 1 undeserved and unproven QB who’s getting paid 90% of the cap, and the rest is a bunch of nobodies besides Parsons and Diggs on defense.

I agree with you on all points except calling Parsons good is falling into the hype.. he’s okay but he fades after the 5th or 6th game
And Diggs is opportunistic yes, but he gets toasted far too often by good receivers

Weak is not the same as overrated. Weak teams don’t make the playoffs every year

There is no doubt many Cowboys players are overrated by their own fans. Stop listening to the homers on the Cowboys media. They are paid to say nice things about the Cowboys.

Just use logic. The Cowboys got blown out last year by the Packers to end their season. Instead of taking that game and adding a few quality pieces to the roster the Cowboys did absolutely nothing. They didn't even sign their own players. They could have signed CeeDee months ago and used the CAP room created by his deal to sign some other guys they needed. Then they waited until the season almost started to sign guys like Lawson and Linval Joseph. If these guys were still available at the beginning of the season that means none of the other 31 teams wanted them. And yet fans think we just fixed the holes left by the pathetic off-season.

We heard how great Caelen Carson was all camp. Then he has to play and we find out maybe he is not that great after all. Potential, yes, but ready? no. The same for Brooks, Tolbert, Cooks, Guyton and of course, the ever overhyped Deuce Vaughn.

We signed Jordan Phillips as if he was THE guy to solve the DT problem. Except when he plays he is awful. The Giants swindled us for taking him off their hands. I am not sure who thought these guys could play but I am worried it is Zimmer, the same guy who thinks Liufau should play more and Overshown less.

I have encouraged folks multiple times to look over this roster with clear eyes and ask why you think this team is any better than 6-11.

Parsons is much more overrated than Dak by the pure definition of 'overrated'. Dak takes a ton of criticism from fans and the media. Some valid, some not. Yet, Parsons skates by each year as being some out of this world talent. Never see any real criticism in the media at all. Just finally lately, more fans are picking up on what a fraud he is. Parsons is a bum when it matters most. Does he even have one impactful play his entire playoff career?

Oh yes they do. Feast on bottom dweller teams while losing to any team with a pulse above .500. Just enough garbage teams to allow a mediocre team to grab a wildcard playoff birth each year only to be trounced in the 1st round.

Rinse and repeat as needed.

This team is not overrated. No one expected much from this team this year. Jerry did nothing in the offseason to improve areas of need in free agency. No #1 RB, no #2WR, no stud DT. And depending on a bunch of rookies. Not a recipe for success.
