The entire team, including the coaches, quit on themselves and the fans. Didn't even try to drive downfield for a score at the end of the game. They ran the clock out by running the ball so they would not get further humiliated.

I told my friend early in the 3rd quarter that Dak could not read the defense and that they should put Cooper Rush in. Well, they finally put him in at the end of the game and only let him throw 2 passes. Even so, from only 2 pass plays, you could tell Rush has the better arm. His accuracy is 5 times better than Dak's. I hate to say it, but Dak's time as the starter should come to an end.

If Rush had a HINT of mobility, he'd be my guy since last year!!!

I hate the generic hyperbolic simplistic statements of the whole team quit.

The whole team did not quit.

The whole team had their backsides handed to them.
The 49ers were the Borg last night.

Resistance was futile,
But the whole team did not quit.

Us? They quit on us? Since when did they ever play for us? The players don't give a damn about us, they play for money and nothing more. The only time the players think poorly of the fans is when we are giving them crap for failing to show up like they failed to do last night.

If they did quit, and I don't think they did (they just suck), then they quit on themselves. They don't care what we think or say.

I suppose you are right in the sense the defense was worn out, they played very hard for us. By the 4th quarter, every SF receiver was wide open and their RBs had holes a Mac Truck could drive through. The offense at the end was only going through the motions. The offense and the coaches couldn't wait to burn the clock up and get out of there. They had time and could have made an effort with Rush to put a few more points on the board. To me, that's quitting.

Once again, it's a matter of a pathetic offense of multiple three and outs exposing a tired defense. IMO, why that happened is due most significantly to Dak Prescott and Coach McCarthy because the offense is actually worse than last year. It looks like Moore did more magic than he has been given credit for.

Dan Quinn hired Kyle Shanahan as his offensive coordinator that both of them took to the SB and lost to the Patriots in one of the most likely rigged SBs in history where the team was leading 28-3 at halftime. So, it's not like Dan Quinn did not know the type of things Kyle Shanahan could do on offense.

this is shades of 2007 with Wade. the team just quit. they weren't even pissed on the sideline. they weren't trying. they just took it. they understood that they can't play with this team and their destiny is set.

That's why they are weak, they have no heart.

You really believe that is why the Cowboys ran out the clock?

Quit? Naw, be honest. The Cowboys went up against a superior opponent who knows exactly how to handle the Cowboys limited QB. Regardless of what the talking heads say, this game was over before it even started because it required Dak Prescott make throws that he can't. The 49-ers know it and they don't mind letting everyone know what they were planning to do. At some point, you need to believe them because 3 times they have faced this team with the exact same outcome with the exact same horrific play from the QB position.

I just don’t understand the posts that give the defense a pass and not necessarily in this thread since it’s about quitting but the defense kept us in the game for about a bit but even then couldn’t get a stop on a big 3rd down all night.

Dak sucked. So did Dan Quinn’s defense. Both are true

Good point, contrary to the posts that the ONLY problem is Dak.

If not for the fans the players don't get paid. Who generates money for this team? We do.
