The Untold Story Behind the Timing of this QB Change

I really don't know what for a draft pick we would have had to give up for someone to take Bledsoe but probably a 1st day pick:D

The time to trade Bledsoe was on draft day last April before he became exposed as a dud. He has no trade value at this point. Most teams know that his biggest fault is his decision-making, not his lack of mobility, and in a 14 year old veteran, that's inexcusable. We should have gone after McNair as his replacement and drafted both Omar Jacobs and Bruce Gradkowski like I wanted, then we would have 2 options in case McNair got injured, and or Romo couldn't cut it. Now we have no options, except.

I remember you jockeying Omar Jacobs. I don't remember you jockeying Gradkowski though. I bet if I do a search on his surname I'll find that you didn't. Nice attempt to pat yourself on the back for that one, but I'm not buying it.

You do know that Jacobs isn't on a team right? That he's on a Practice Squad? Might be time to quit patting yourself on the back for your QB planning.

Now, let's see if I eat crow about you jockeying Gradkowski.
Well, what do you know, I am officially going to apologize to kartr in front of the entire forum.

I DID in fact find a post by you from March of this year before the Draft, stating that you think Gradkowski would be a good option to bring in and be a backup.

My apologies to you for having doubted you.

Here's some speculation for ya (that's half the fun of fan forums, right?).
Doesn't it seem a little bit interesting that Parcells has been thinking about this move for some time and decided to make the move one week after the trading deadline passed? Why would he do that? Well, if he made the move at the beginning of the season, or after the opening loss or the loss to Philedelphia, Bledsoe quite likely would have asked to be traded. Also, Jerry might have said, "well, if Romo is the future, let's try to get some value for Drew". They probably could have gotten a 2nd or 3rd rounder from some team that was the perfect situation. But Parcells did not want to get stuck with only one good QB - so he waited until the trade deadline passed - and then made the change.

Whatyathink?

i think drugs must be cheap in your part of town.
