After watching this embarrassing dysfunctional franchise over the past year with mistake and indecision at every point from the Green Bay blow out to keeping McCarthy, no involvement in free agency, the Dak and CD side show, the embarrassing losses, the McCarthy debacle of being the HC or not and now the finding of a new HC FUBAR.
We all point a finger at Jerry becaus he has the supposed last say but I believe we have an even bigger problem and his name is Steven Jones.
Tigers usually do not change their stripes and JJ like it or not used to wheel and deal, sign top FA and act opposite of what we see today. All of a sudden we became tight with money and no big moves made at all. A very conservative approach to everything, this does not sound at all like the old JJ to me.
Than we have Steven yearly telling us we do not have enough slices of pie to go around regarding salary cap money. Meanwhile we are at the lowest end of cash spent as a team in the league.
Than you read today that this whole Schottenheimer HC embarrassment is Steven and son Jerry Jrs idea. That JJ wants Prime or now Caroll. This unfortunately does not bode well for us in the future. Its scary as a die hard fan of over 55 yrs. Our frustration is pointed at Jerry and to a degree rightfully so but I feel Steven is the bigger problem. It could be even rougher seas ahead my friends.

 This is a bad QB draft it would be fitting the Giants did it again and drafted one of these guys and handed them the keys

And I have news for all of you.

Winter is already here. the Long Night began decades ago.

The Cowboys never went 0-17. But what would be the fun in that? Far more misery can be produced with seasons that tease fans into thinking the Cowboys have actual potential, only to witness their complete devastation on a single January afternoon.

Even better, the Cowboys end the season within one game of making the playoffs while assuring themselves of that handy 16th overall draft pick in the 1st round.

It's not going to get worse because it can't. A record of four or less wins would actually be humanitarian, kind of like slapping a hysterical person to bring them back to their senses.

I hope we don't win another game until Jerry steps down.

I have to think.the worst is yet to come. I think Jerry has either pre paid the inheritance tax or has some kind of family trust set up so the fans will be stuck with the God awful Jones ownership long after I am gone. Stevie and I around the same age and have a feeling that when he gets the big chair that most fans will actually long for Jerry.

The way the arrow is pointing with the piss poor coaching search and their FA strategy, it does look like this crap is flowing downhill. Amazing that after almost three decades of incompetence, these idiots have not learned their lesson.

sounds like youre proposing a hamster wheel...

posters should direct Jerry for free, use their knowledge and crowdsourcing to enlighten him...for free.

its like colleges taking advantage of students research for cheap.

this whole thing is beyond sad. burn it down. its a lame grift to benefit a few

Is there a franchise QB from an alien planet entering the draft that no one else knows about yet?
So far the best 2 in this draft look to be low 2nd to mid 3rd talents!

Yes, the old Jerry would overturn every rock. Try to acquire the best talent through any means necessary. He made multiple good moves, but multiple bad ones as well. At some point in 2013 or 2014 they stopped it all. They use what we see now. No highs, no lows, like a mental patient that just got a lobotomy. His son has already said he'll take less risk when Jerry is gone. If that's at all possible.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say 1988 revisited.
Which could have been the beginning of something wonderful, depending on how you look at things.

I am still perplexed at the number of people that are just figuring this out.
