Teams now have the easy formula for victory against us: Blitz, blitz, blitz and don't let Bledsoe throw it

This is nothing new!!!!!

Other teams have know this forever. :D

not really. Philly is good at what they do. I don't think it's as simple as just blitzing us.

I thought you were going to say ...

"How poorly my avatar's namesake played."

Yet we burned Washington when they tried to blitz us. I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that it was Philly's defense blitzing us, not just any defense.

Actually a lot of the pressure was not by blitzes. Our O line stank at pass blocking their D line.

Why do they need to blitz when they can sack us rushing three guys?

all they did was stack up tons of defenders pretty much over center and rushed, how complexed is that? All the other teams have to do is review the game film of this game and it speaks for itself.

we agree. Philly is good at what they do. Every team doesn't have a guy like Jeremiah Trotter just hammering into the middle of the line opening it up for everyone else.

I will take that one step further and say Defensive Coaching.

I would love to see a Jim Johnson type on this staff.

It's very easy to hit the target when it's stationary

Yeah, but they also threw just about every blitz package possible, so Dallas should have seen everything so far.

There's ways to defeat that. Like throwing screens, some draw plays, and running out of the shotgun. In the first three games Dallas seemed insistent on throwing to the WR's to scare the defense to blitz. It worked. My guess is that they'll start using more screens. As far as shotgun formations, I think they'll be too stubborn to do that. And hey, Bledsoe had plenty of times were he had all day to throw and made terrible passes.

Unless all the acid I did in the 90s has killed my memory you tried to blitz and failed against us. It was mainly in the first quarter then Greg Williams stopped trying.

The Skins blitzed 37% of the time in that game. Mostly it was with 5 man blitzes. Philly blitzed with more 6 and 7 man pass rushes and when they didn't, they stunted heavily.

That formula has been around a while. Some teams just don't believe it I guess. We have not stopped the blitz in many many years.
