Cowboys DC Mike Zimmer: “My first game here as a coordinator was the Pickle Juice Game (Cowboys lost 41-14 to the Eagles in 2000). I vowed to fix it after that. If I didn’t fix those I wouldn’t be standing here today.”

Zimmer said the Cowboys have never had a practice look like the way they played yesterday vs. the Saints. “These guys are typically on point and do everything the right way.”

If Jerry Jones didn't exist this guy would still be sitting on the couch.

Nobody was even thinking of hiring him again except his old pal Jerry.

And there's nothing that Jerry loves more than coaches that are just thankful for one last opportunity. They are the easiest to control.

I'm afraid Zimmer will get a pass on a failed season of lackluster defensive performances because he inherited a defense that isn't reflective of his game plan. I'd like to think this is his last season along with McCarthy. I was hoping for a more youthful coaching staff. I'm still waiting.
