The Zone.

I don't know about you guys but i am already tired of seeing the DBs play in a zone.

I feel we have the talent to play Man to Man but yet Wade and Stewart still play this dumb zone. Everytime a big play happend it wasn't man on man coverage it was because of the receiver found a big *** hole in the zone.
Now i know its the preseason but when we get Newman back i want to start seeing more Man to Man than this soft zone crap. I could of sworn they said they were going to start playing more Man this year

It bothers me too, but maybe Wade is counting on so much pressure from the blitz, that we're sitting there waiting to pick the ball off. Hasn't worked so far though

yeah lets not work on what they're not good at in preseason which is more or less a glorified practice, makes perfect sense don't it?

I hope so.

I hope when the season starts he changes this philosophy just look at our corners

Newman can play man coverage
Pacman can play man coverage
Jenkins played man in college
Scandrick played alot of man in college
Ogesby played alot of zone in Baltimore
Henry is a zone corner

Yea but the problem is they are playing the same coverages as they were playing last year when we were pretty much weak in the secondary now we have talent and guys like Pacman are playing 10 yards off the receiver?

I know im not putting much stock into as if they are going to do this during the season but i am worried about it.

No, but that does not mean we're calling the same plays/coverages that we will in the regular season.
