What is a word made up of 4 letters, yet is also made up of 3. Although is written with 8 letters, and then with 4. Rarely consists of 6, and never is written with 5.

Hos I have no idea what you are talking about. Never been very good with riddles.

LOl...during one of my ** leadership courses this kind of quiz was given to the class. I usually suck at these things, but for whatever reason I had an epiphany for this and I struck gold with the answer. I was the hero and the brainiac for that day.

You have 8 balls that look and feel identical but one of the ball is slight heavier than the others (not discernable by weighing them by hand).

You are given a balance scale. In only 2 weigh-ins, you can figure out which of the 8 balls is heavier. Write down the steps.

Hmm. This is a good riddle lol.

you have balls 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8.

Step 1:
Put 1,2,3 on one side, and 4,5,6 on the other. If they're equal, take 7 on one side, and 8 on the other...whichever is heavier is your ball.

Step 2:
If 1,2,3 and 4,5,6 are not equal, take the one that's heavier. Let's say 1,2,3 are heavier.

Put 1 on one side, and 2 on the other. If 1 and 2 are equal, the heaviest one is 3. If they're not equal, pick the heavier ball.

Apparently this was made by Albert Einstein...I'm going to try working on it.

There are 5 houses in 5 different colors
In each house lives a person with a different nationality
These 5 owners drink a certain type of beverage, smoke a certain brand of cigar, and keep a certain pet
No owners have the same pet, smoke the same brand of cigar or drink the same drink.

Here's the question: Who owns the fish?

The Brit lives in a red house
The Swede keeps dogs as pets
The Dane drinks tea
The green house is on the left of the white house
The green house owner drinks coffee
The person who smokes Pall Mall rears birds
The owner of the yellow house smokes Dunhill
The man living in the house right in the middle drinks milk
The Norwegian lives in the first house
The man who smokes Blend lives next door to the one who keeps cats.
The man who keeps horses lives next door to the man who smokes Dunhill
The owner who smokes Blue Master drinks beer
The German smokes Prince
The Norwegian lives next to the blue house
The man who smokes Blend has a neighbor who drinks water

I don't know if this is the correct answer or not, but it sounds genius to me.

I give up. My brain is fried and I can't think anymore. Please tell us the answer.:banghead:

Ah, thanks. ....The format I created was very similar to the one I found on a math website, but still I am so stumped. I did find the answer, but I wanted to solve it on my own. They used a table, I used boxes. I guess I am not equipped for this sort of thing. lol.

My son gave me a very good one the other day. Try to figure it out, if you haven't seen it already. It's probably old, but I thought it was interesting enough:

It is more powerful than Love. (for purpose of forum rules, I have substituted the real word, it won't make a difference in the riddle, as both would apply here.)

It is more evil than the devil.

Poor people have it.

Rich people don't need it.

If you eat it you will die.

What is it??

I had to do this for my Public Administration exam... It is the German. Took me a while.
