The one possible weak spot is at left guard. Other than that they are in good shape. I see all of the draft picks making the team and if Hunter Luepke is healthy he has a great chance of making the team. I think he makes it or the fullback from Tennessee makes it.

The Mazi Smith pick is huge. They got the big run stopper in the middle who can also push the pocket against the pass. He makes the defense better. If they would of passed on him they would have missed the boat on dtackle and would still have that big hole that has been there for over a decade.

Quinn knows what he is going to do with all of those defensive picks. This defense should be very good. He added Gillmore, Hankins, Smith, Overshown, Fehoko, and Scott. A good defense just got better.

Schoonmaker gives them a more athletic do everything tight end. At worst he will be a solid player. The North Carolina olineman gives them a guy that can play anywhere on the oline. We will have to see how he develops. Then you throw in Vaughn at pick 212. They got the running back that they needed at pick 212. They were so lucky to get him. He has a chance of being outstanding. You are talking about a back that had the best production in college football over the last 3 years. This is unbelievable. I'm thinking that the only reason that he was still on the board was that the running back class was so deep this season.

Then we have Jalen Brooks. They are getting a 200 pound receiver that will not get pushed around. He can catch the ball and has good run after the call skills and special teams experience.

I also think that Hunter Luepke fits as a short yardage and redzone player. He is a runner, and pass receiver.

Overall if they get Gillmore and Cooks to play like they can and get the upside from the draft, this team will be very good and contend.

It's been good that they've made some nice additions without spending big, but really Cooks and Gilmore are the only guys who will make much of a difference.

They didn't lose anything and got marginally better, which is difficult in the cap era, but I don't think the team is fundamentally better positioned to contend this year than last year. Still one of the 2-3 best teams in the NFC.

I'd say that Smith. Schoonmaker, and Vaughn will all make a big difference and Overshown, and Fehoko have a shot as well.

Nah. They're not going to play enough snaps to do that. Schoonmaker has the best chance, but it's pretty unlikely that he's dynamic enough as a rookie TE to really give you any meaningful improvements from Schultz (even though I think Schultz sucks, he was still productive)

Even Mazi is only going to play 20 snaps a game because he's going to come off the field on passing downs, at least until he shows consistent juice as a rusher.

Still plenty of time to address the offensive line.
