I'm sweating like BP watching this ****.
No kidding!
A buddy of mine's dad used to run wires on the top of buildings in the military, though not on towers so not nearly this high. He said once you got to about 70 feet or so it started to get scary, even though falling from lower than that would obviously be high enough to kill you. He tells the story of this guy who got to the top of one of these really tall radio towers and couldn't get something loose no matter what he tried, so he actually took off his safety belt and started jumping up and down on it!
An army plane happened to be flying by with some of the brass in it, and they were totally appalled and the guy got severely reprimanded. He said all those guys who climbed those towers had a screw loose, but this guy took it to another level.
Even locally, he said there was one old guy who basically changed all the lights at the top of the local radio and TV towers around here. The guy was in his 60s and as of a few years ago, at least, he was still working because no one else wanted to do it. It just didn't bother him at all.
