(Bears vs. Cowboys)
- Devin Hester your catch was RIDICULOUS!
- Best catch of the day, with apologizes to Randy Moss and Andre Johnson.
- Jason Garrett, you’re no Mike Martz.
- Martz gave the Red-head genius a clinic on how to run an offense and to adjust to the defense’s strategy.
- Cutler sliced the overrated Cowboys defense.
- Uh, memo Mike Jenkins: The Cowboys have no reason to take any team lightly.
- Cowboys have the mentality that teams are going to fall over and play dead after the first series. At least that’s what the defense thought. Kudos to Culter and the Bears offense for bouncing back.
- The fire Wade Phillips Club is now accepting members.
- Dallas is in danger of becoming the Raiders of the NFC.
- If you have three running backs you have none – which is exactly where the Cowboys find themselves.
- Roy Williams had to feel like a piñata. He was getting slammed hard after every catch.
- Those Bears sure swarm on a defender and quickly.
- The difference in the two defenses was like night and day.
- You wanna revise that “We have confidence in our kicker” statement, Jerrah Jones?
- Still don’t like the fact Dez Bryant is returning punts, even though he did score.
- D.J. Moore wins the “Right place at the right time” award.
- But questioning Jason Witten’s courage? Uh, maybe you didn’t see that running without a helmet clip.
- Witten wants to win, that’s for sure. Can’t say the same for his teammates.

(Eagles vs. Lions)
- Michael Vick is back to his 2006 form.
- Put No. 94 (Rudolph Hardie) on spin cycle.
- Here he goes dividing a city again, though this time it’s a good thing.
- If Andy Reid wants to win, he should keep Vick behind center.
- Dr. (Leon) McCoy performs surgery on the Lions defense.
- Desean Jackson gets reacquainted with the end zone.
- Jahvid did his Best, but it just wasn’t good enough.
- Rookie of the year candidate?
- Paging Calvin Johnson?
- Matt Stafford needs to get back so C.J. can get more into the game plan.

(Steelers vs. Titans)
- Who do the Steelers have left to play quarterback?
- Who cares with a defense like Pittsburgh’s?
- Seven turnovers playing with a fourth-string quarterback and winning the game is about as loud a statement for the Steelers defense as one can make.
- That and holding Chris Johnson under 100 yards.
- I don’t think I’ve seen a safety this side of Ronnie Lott have the type impact Troy Palomalu has on a defense.
- Hall of Famer. Book it.
- Guarantee his Hall of Fame display contains a lock of his hair.
- Fisher gave Vince Young the hook and a vote of no-confidence.
- Will VY’s fragile ego survive?
- I don’t think Kerry Collins is the answer.

(Cardinals vs. Falcons)
- One bird flies high, the other grounded.
- Betcha you’d find in Ken Wisenhunt’s cell log a call placed to Kurt Warner.
- Derek Anderson is who we thought he was.
- Tim Hightower is better than we thought he was.
- Matt Ryan rediscovers his mojo.
- The Cardinals defense had enough of smelling Jason Snelling.

(Ravens vs. Bengals)
- Joe Flacco: Overrated or still developing?
- His favorite target was wearing orange, black and white.
- This offense is underachieving slightly under the Cowboys level.
- The defense is holding its own, even without Ed Reed.
- Holding a team to 15 points should net you a win.
- Of course, when you hold a team to 10 points you should win also.
- The Bengals defense is up and coming.
- The defensive backfield may be the best in the league.
- Marvin Lewis understands to win, this offense needs to go through Cedric Benson, not T.O. and Ochocinco.
- Are we already tired of hearing “Jordan Shipley, the next Wes Welker?”

(Bills vs. Packers)
- Clay Matthews working on his Defensive Player of the Year resume.
- May challenge the single-sack record at this pace.
- Aaron Rodgers back on track to being the most talked about quarterback who has accomplished nothing.
- T.O. got out of Buffalo just in time.
- This team may be looking at the first pick in the draft.

(Dolphins vs. Vikings)
- Favre may be rethinking that decision to return.
- That or he’d better consult a southern faith healer and trot Sidney Rice on stage.
- Vincent Jackson may be a Viking before the week ends.
- When he doesn’t have a game-changing receiver bailing him out, his mistakes and gunslinger mentality become more pronounced.
- I like the way Bill Parcells builds teams.
- Teams are always solid, if unspectacular.
- Jake Long makes sure Jared Allen has a long day.
- If Bernard Berrian every gets cold at night, Jason Allen can be his blanket – AGAIN.
- Eric Green with the best interception of the day. Way to keep your eyes on the ball, even while on your back.

(Texans vs. Commanders)
- GaNoooooo!
- From hero to goat on a “freeze the kicker” timeout.
- By the way, I hate that rule.
- Andre Johnson is a bbbaaaddd man.
- No way Daughtery beats Johnson on a jump ball.
- Play of the game: Marcus Pollard’s block of Gano’s field goal which would have given the Skins a 10-point lead in the fourth quarter.
- Space shuttles aren’t the only thing launching in Houston.
- Matt Schaub and his receiving crew are going to light up scoreboards this year.
- If you check Carlos Rogers’ birth certificate, you might find Kevin Walter’s name listed.
- Both defenses took the day off.
- Donovan McNabb was not the cause of the Commanders loss so stop gloating Eagles fans.
- Old legs at the running back position did.
- Why is Larry Johnson on the Skins’ roster?

(Panthers vs. Bucs)
- And quietly, the Tampa Bay is 2-0.
- The Bucs may have something special in Josh Freeman.
- And Mike Williams from Syracuse.
- I don’t think Matt Moore is the answer.
- Steve Smith delivers his customary big play.

(Chiefs vs. Browns)
- And quietly, the Chiefs are 2-0.
- Close wins are still wins.
- Seneca Wallace with a yeoman-like performance.
- The ill-advised pick six proved to be a game changer.
- Joshua Cribbs earning his pay.

(Raiders vs. Rams)
- Don’t write Darren McFadden off just yet?
- Ditto for Darius Hayward-Bay.
- Of course, Oakland was playing the Rams.
- Great TD catch by Mark Clayton.
- Steve Jackson didn’t have too much daylight to run to.
- Gilyard may want to get some bumper cushions installed on his jersey. He was getting his bell rung on returns.
- Me thinks Bruce Gradkowski will be starting next week.
- Jason Campbell may be relegated to backup status the remainder of his career.
- Not that that’s a bad thing.
- At least he completed a pass to himself.
- Remind Rolando McClain that this is not the WWE, body slams are not allowed, especially on smallest wide receivers.

(Pats vs. Jets)
- If you can walk the walk then you can talk the talk …
- Ryan has Bill Belichick figured out.
- Did Mark Sanchez have a talk with Joe Willie Namath before the game?
- Sanchez can deliver, especially with this defense.
- Maybe Kris Jenkins’ absence isn’t as bad as expected.
- Randy Moss found his way off Revis Island.
- The man can make catching a football look easy.
- Unfortunately, he couldn’t find his way off Cromartie Island.
- Brady looked like an old man in the second half.
- The Patriots desperately need a running game.
- Did Wes Welker play Sunday?

(Seahawks vs. Broncos)
- A coming out party for DeMaryius Thomas?
- Knowshown Mareno’s health is critical to Bronco’s chances of contending for the AFC West.
- Matt Hasselback proves Seattle with its rushing (scoring) attack.
- Golden Tate has his moment. Portent of good things to come?

(Giants vs. Colts)
- Sorry, but little brother (Eli) can’t keep up with big brother (Peyton).
- Peyton performs surgery while Eli prescribes prescriptions.
- Dwight Freeney and Robert Mathis have got to be the best end tandem in the league.
- Freeney can turn the corner like no one else can.
- Hakeem Nicks. All he does is catch touchdowns.
- How many wished Brandon Jacobs’ head was in his helmet when he bounced it?
- About the only thing “stupider” was the fan in the stand who actually thought he could keep the helmet.

I’m sure I’ve missed many observations. All additional comments, clarifications, criticize and corrections are welcomed. :)

I really admire/envy the Steelers. They go through a turmoiltous offseason. They have just as many OL issues and injuries as we do, if not more. They're down to their 4th string QB. Every excuse is there for them to lose ... and they go and kick the crap out of two good teams, one on the road. That's a mentally tough, well prepared and focused football team.

That and the refs give them every chance to win. Re-watch CJ's 90 yard TD and watch how bad that holding call was. Go watch James Harrison up-end the QB after the play and NOT get a Personal Foul while Brooking is in the process of sacking Cutler and does get one. I envy the Steelers because of the biasness they get from the NFL.

I agree.. they are very well prepared. it seems like they are always missing a key player and someone steps up and is ready to play..

Dallas is just in the twilight zone.. I think they bounce back this week. They have got to!!!
