The good:a win on the road against a team that is probably a 0.500 or slightly better team when fully healthy (like the Cowboys). Game winning drive against a good defense. Lots of yards in the game. Dallas offense was far superior. Some really nice throws from Dak throughout the game. Tolbert, Turpin, and Ferguson had very good games. Dowdle looked pretty good.
The bad: injuries are piling up. Cannot keep losing guys and expect to continue winning. Way too many turnovers. Almost lost the game on the fumble at the end. The defense was using a bucket of spare parts and still dominated Pittsburgh’s offense.
Side thoughts: Justin Fields is atrocious-should not be starting in this league. He made so many poor reads and decisions (and throws!) that it’s impressive they weren’t losing by 20 at the end. Dak looks much slower and less mobile, but his arm looked better today when given enough time to wind up. The team is hanging on by a thread, and we get to see them play an offense that has way more firepower next week.
