I feel comfortable with Brad Johnson as backup QB, as long as Romo doesn't get a season ending injury...

Could use another veteran CB... not sure I feel good about Nate Jones, Reeves and Joey Thomas if any of our top three CBs go down...

Looks like we solidified the O-line in this year's draft, next year we need to concentrate on CB and WR with top two picks

Julius Jones looked pissed on the sideline after being pulled for Barber inside the 20...

The 3-4 needs linebackers but just seems like we paid too much in the draft for Burnett and Carpenter to be coming off the bench... 1st and second rounder picks should be starting...

Who says they won't be by the season opener?

Best players need to start. This is a good problem to have.

And I think the Parcells reins have come off these players a bit

I think people get caught up too much in how we 'wasted' picks in Carpenter and Burnett. All it means is our roster is talented enough that guys who we draft in the 1st and 2nd rounds don't necessarily get to start.

It's not like we can stop drafting in the 1st and 2nd rounds if we don't feel we need to replace a starter.

All it really means in the end is that when we go to our nickel D or spell our linebackers, we have studs coming on the field who can still be effective. Instead of say, Scott Shanle coming in to spell Bradie, it's Bobby Carpenter. We have managed the salary cap well, so it's not an issue. Are we going to lose some guys to free agency because they want a chance to start sooner or later? Absolutely. Are we going to have more draft picks to get new, younger guys to replace them? Absolutely.

I agree. James looked very good out there and was very active. As for other LB like Carpenter and Burnett coming in as backups all I can say is we run the 3-4 and you better have some quality players at that position and we seem to have that.

Honestly who cares??? we have tremendously alot of depth in the Linebacker spot and i am happy with that it helps us on not just defense but the special teams

My only worry is probably the same as everyone. A backup NT (could be it Ayodele), a quality #4 CB who can step in if one of our starters can't play, prolonged injury to either TO/TG & if we lose Romo.
