Hey fellas, I watched couple camp interviews with Zimmer. I have to say, he's no gimme for starters.

The man means business. I think his age plays big factor. Been there, seen everything from players handbook. Which is huge change for us. First impression from him is accountability and team effort. Understanding your role as football player, not just your position.

I didnt get those vibes from Quinn. He was more laissez-faire type mentality.

Hat on backwards, fun, cool, I got your back type of guy etc... Lets go have Pizza at Trey's house...lol.. .

When Zimmer was asked some questions about specific players. He minced a bit, being careful not to throw them under the bus.
but stayed positive that with work and training they can get better. See lots of hope with our dudes.

It's going to be interesting year for us. GO....Cowboys>>>>>

Already sounds better to me, Make every player know what everyone is doing on the D side. DQ was the favorite uncle you always wanted.

Well, let's begin with what really happened
Quinn took over a absolute crud show, then went through position by position teaching BASIC TECHNIQUES! Remember his first year watching Hard Knocks? He was diving and rolling at the DLs feet teaching them to defeat cut/roll blocks. His defense gang tackled like lve never seen before, 6-7 guys around the ball carriers. Guys like DLAW coming to life, the players would die for Quinn .
Was there a drop off last year, sure, because the players knew Quinn was gone.
Zim is old school, which I would have loved 15 years ago.
But today's rich, spoiled players won't respond well, it will begin OK, but the fist sign of adversity the cracks in the dam.will show

But hey, don't take my word for it, we'll be playing that crap show of a Washington team twice, you can be the judge.

I like Zimmer's style. He's a crusty veteran of a coach that knows what he wants from the players and able to effectively communicate those wants to the players. He's the kind of coach that will take a high ceiling performer like Parsons to the next level.

The defense is going to be much more disciplined under Zimmer. Players are going to know their roles are they won’t be playing.

Don’t have huge expectations but even if he is average it will be an upgrade over the fraud that is Dan Quinn.

Zim brings the heat and is not interested in a country club environment at all.

I wasn't a huge fan of his before. Hoping he can whip these guys into a better defense.

CB, S, and LB have all been upgraded. Just figure out the front 4 and lets go!

Zim will be a good coach for these guys. The defense has some talented guys who seemingly want to be great. He’s the right kind of coach for a lot of these players at this stage in their development. Quinn was good and did an admirable job, but he was also very flawed scheme wise. We have no idea of Zim has changed how he is, but I do think these players are going to learn a lot and potentially take their skill to another level. I think Mazi, Clark, O and even Micah will benefit from Zim. Heck this is the type of coach Tank should flourish under. I’m pumped to see what Zim does with the D

Already hearing that this new scheme looks good against motion based offenses... music to my ears...

Funny is that most could not wait to get rid of Zimmer back in the day. This season will be lots of fun!

What was missing with Quinn was discipline, even though the players like him a lot.

Let's see how Coach Zimmer works out. Zim and Quinn have different approaches.
One thing is for sure -- the "country club atmosphere" definitely has its faults! :omg:

Ashame we couldn't have DQ as assistant DC and Zim as DC. I feel like they would be a good good-cop-bad-cop.
