The injury to Martin changed the game for the offense no doubt but was it was telling that when Buffalo played dirty we didn’t step up are physicality. The Bills were trying to take Dak out. Disappointing to say the least.
The Cowboys tend to bully the lesser teams, but the elite ones do it to them.

Couldn't stop the run, but really killed ourselves with the BIG penalties.

Totally forgot Vangio was in Miami. Another reason why I chalked that game up as a probable loss. Away game, great run offense, Vangio defense. This to me is the true test.
I had this game circled all year long, cause it was against his defense. Also, the Dolphins run a similar Rams style offense with a ton of motion/misdirection which has given our defense trouble. Excellent game to prepare for the playoffs, especially being on the road against a team that needs the win. Play well next week, gives us some hope, struggle again, we know they won't be able to compete.

Losses in Buffalo and Miami were a fairly predictable part of our schedule. Dallas just doesn’t perform well on grass against good teams.

Defense is getting all the blame, but Dak didn't come out sharp either. **
No excuse........it's games like this where his on-field leadership falls short. It was obvious your D was going to have a tough game. I mean he's been playing long enough to see/know the original game plan wasn't working like they had hoped. Huddle your coaches and teammates and make adjustments.......but just keep running the same sh___that's not working.

I may get some heat but this is what separates him from Romo sometimes. How Romo would just take matters into his own hands when game plans or plays weren't working. Remember when TO accused him and Witten of drawing up on the field? (lol)

Just said in another thread, that it's possible we can play our best game of the year and still lose and that's OK, as long we play smart like we belong.

Bills gained the momentum after the first two tds then never let go. First drive we should have gotten off the field holding them to a FG.

Pollard had an 11 yard run called back along with an 8 yard run on the first couple of drives killing momentum. 11yard run there was a phantom holding penalty that the replay showed absolutely nothing. 8 yards was so ticky tacky it was a joke. Let's not forget Allen got the flop job and they 100% weren't going to throw the flag on the late hit on Dak until Martin steam rolled the guy. Not blaming the refs as the bills were obviously the much better team yesterday but they did us no favors early on.

Two tds scored then got hit with stupid penalties on the first couple of drives. Then continued to spiral downhill with no adjustments on either side of the ball.

Given enough opportunity Sam Williams is guaranteed to find a way to screw you.

Gronk nailed it on the NBC pregame show. The Cowboys are not mentally tough. If things go well early, game on. But if they get punched in the mouth then they fold.

There are plenty of reasons the 'Boys lost this one, and this isn't necessarily one of them, but,

Buffalo, one penalty for 15 yards.

C'mon, zero holding penalties? really?

I wonder if McCarthy let them eat during the flight home…

Why would it matter?

Why are some fans convinced Dallas was having a different year?

you guys do this all the time "this year feels different, this team feels different"

Charlie Brown still believing that Lucy wont pull the football.

Stop thinking the coaches and culture changed. It didnt. Yearly losers, thats the culture, let the stadium bring in the money, the league is private, even if its scripted or designed no one is changing the Club.

before any of the usual posters come by and beat their ref chest, ill say we lost this without the refs.

BUT, i find it absolutely hilarious one of the most penalized teams committed just one penalty against us.

And yet again no holds from an opposing offense against our leading pressure rate defense. Must be the wind

This team will go as far as Dak can throw them. That is the problem. If Dak is having an off day (which every QB does) we keep slinging the ball around expecting him to turn it around. Other playmakers on the team need to step up around him. RUN THE BALL! Throw short dump offs/screens to your playmakers! The defense needs to step up, and we need to play clean football (no dumb penalties). We are a one dimensional team. It seems like when Dak is off the whole team falls apart (coaches included).

Take a look at Josh Allen's numbers yesterday:
7-15, 94 yards, 1TD

They certainly didn't win this game because of Allen's arm. The Bills realized that the run game was working! What did they do? They kept running and repeatedly punched us in the mouth!

Pollard had 11 carries for 52 yards! 4.7 yards per carry. Our run game was working for once. Why didn't we continue running the ball?
