Ladies and Gents I know today is hard. Another playoff season down the tubes. Expectations unfulfilled again and again and again. Changing teams just doesn’t work. Giving up on the NFL is probably unrealistic. The only option is to find that happy space to get along. I think I got mine so I will share. Here are my thoughts.

1. The Jones family are here for good so get used to it.

2. The NFL as a league is in peak annoyance and probably going to get worse so treat it as such meaning push it way down your priority list.

3. Focus on other sports. Mine is hockey. I love the NHL. Big Rangers fan but I can watch any game and I love playoff hockey.

4. Hang more with spouse, friends or family. Take a few Sundays off.

5. Get a dog. They are the best and provide positive distraction at all times.

6. Laugh at Jerry and his family. They are clowns really. I mean the guy has to pay off baby mommas. He is a total loser and should be thought of as such.

7. Get your football fix from college. While the NCAA is a dumpster fire the game is great.

8. I fish and I love it. My girls are older so I have more time for myself. I am rekindling my love of fishing. I had shoulder surgery which cost me my golf game over the past couple years. This year I am all in on that too.

9. Give the Cowboys very little of your attention. They don’t deserve it.

10. Come to the Forum for news, to vent, to opine, and to commiserate with like minded fans. They are in here and a source of laughs and good analysis. Having a clan helps.

Don’t let this stupid team get you too down. Enjoy life away from the Dallas Cowboys.

On target
Cannot let the Cowboys or sports in general be a opiate and or be addictive.
Much more important issues that need attention.

I don't have any pain tbh from this loss.

Had more pain from the NHL more recently than anything Cowboys.

I give you credit for trying but damn its just a rough Monday
Yes sir that one stun more than usual. I didn’t yell and scream. At 14-0 I knew it was over. I think I turned it off after the 1Q. I am so glad I did. They had ZERO life in them. Just weird.

Listen, there are phases of being a Cowboys fan, I wlil start in the Spring:

1- NFL draft where we get excited about the upcoming season and look forward to a busted 2nd rd pick and the selection of any player coming off a career ending injury like drop foot or something

2- Training camp where we wonder why our OL is too old and beaten up to get any reps, and inevtiably not ready to start the season

3- Weeks 1-18- Our QB has changed our coaches have us ready and this is the best team we have had in 30 years

4- The Monday after our inevitable choke in the post season- Blow this things up, I feel numb, I am not shocked, I need a dog. Go Texans

Thank me later

Yup, beyond wierd...I didn't watch the end half and just now checked the score...I have never seen a more embarrassing loss.

Dak was terrible, DQ was even worse...how do you play the cbs 8 yards off every play and not adjust?

This is supposed to help? I'm more depressed now
Jerry turns 82 this year...... does it help knowing the end is getting close help with your depression?

Nope, bc 1 he has enough money to fund his health for probably another decade and 2 look who's replacing him

at least we got to see our team reach the stanley cup, vs this toronto maple leafs of a team struggling to move past round 1.

Kind of sad the Panthers have been to two Stanley cup finals since Dallas last visit to the NFCCG

Well said!! It does become easier to deal with once you become numb to the losses and invariably expect them. But, life goes on! And life is good.

I think next season im done with sports period. Considering taking a break focusing on other things in my life. I just cant continue to support this team as long as the Jones family runs this franchise.

Not bad advice at all. Here's my thing- if those who are extremely well compensated ain't tripping, neither will I. All of those players, coaches and staff are planning on enjoying their off season, not fretting over last night's debacle. Less focus and give a darn is healthy. Unfortunately nothing will ever change short of a half empty theatre stage for these underperformances.
