I rarely buy games at such a rate, since the games I enjoy are typically very long I usually get a new one once ever 4 or 5 months. However, the fall releases have me going to well a bit more often

1: Mario Odyssey . This franchise hasnt let me down in 30 years. Wii had two of the better entiries in the Galaxy games. Mario 3D world was pretty good, but Im hoping it becomes what Mario Sunshine was to Mario 64 and Mario Galaxy. A good game sandwiched between to legendary games.

2: Middle Earth: Shadows of War. The sequal to Shadows of Morder which was a sleeper hit in 2014 and insanely fun. Im really looking forward to seeing what they have done with the Nemisis system.

3: Skyrim VR Playstation : I just can pass up a stroll through Tamriel in VR. I just cant. This will be my 4th purchase of this game ( PS3, PC, PS4) which i have qualms with. Ill support a quality product if I feel I have a reason to buy it.

Hey Darth, shoot me a friend request on PS4. I'm not on much these days, and my son plays on the weekends, but I still get down every so often

The commercial for Middle Earth looks really good. I may give it a shot eventually.

Meanwhile I am spinning my wheels for the November full game release of Star Wars Battlefront II. I pre-ordered it so I got the chance to play the beta. DICE upped their game for the sequel by a factor of 10 in my opinion over the original.

Yeah, we downloaded the SW BFII beta as well. My son loves it. We have the first one. DICE is my second favorite dev behind only FROM SOFT. I'm a Battlefield nut.

Gonna be getting a few games this fall/winter. Middle Earth does look great, and I need some sort of fix while FROM/Miyazaki figures out what they're gonna do.

Ill get this down the line as well. Is it MMO?

Early reviews have been excellent. Looks like it could live up to Mario64 and Mario Galaxy

Yep. It is for PC and console. One note though. The beta looks like they have not improve the lobby wait times. It takes about a minute to two minutes to join sessions at times. :( That's my biggest peeve about the original game.

I play ESO and there are similar issues. You que for group dungeons and if you are a tank or healer you may get in instantly. If you are damge it could take up to 5 minutes. The system is also broken as groups will often fail to form and you will cycle through for a few minutes before you get in

It is MMOFPS in my opinion.
Really? I would think The Division fits that genre more than SW BF.

You think that it's SW BFI or both?

I just think they're huge maps. Which was part of the problem with SW BFI. You have to use the jet pack just to get a jump on the maps. And the daggon thing has to recharge.

The Division was somewhat open-world (I platinum'd that one, too! Fun game).

They are differences--even within the game itself. It fits the criteria of many simultaneous online participants but there are environmental limitations that are different from the common MMO. It is FPS definitely. I guess my personal definition leans more to the fact that I play the Walker Assault (and now Galactic Assault in SWB2) sub game primarily, which involves groups of 40 players per session customarily.

for me its the new South Park game next week, Assassins Creed Origins at the end of the month and COD WW2 next month.....but what I really really cant wait for is Red Dead Redemption 2 next Spring, my wife is gonna hate how many hours I spend on that one lmao.....
My son is downright giddy for the new COD. He played the beta (preorder) and loved it.

I prefer BF all day every day, but the new COD did look nice, and they went away from the damn verticle game (jump packs and all that nonsense).

I began Middle Earth today. My roommate went ahead and bought it (We both thought it looked really good, and we've both played and beaten the first one). I only played for about an hour before work but I'll say if you enjoyed the first one then you'll enjoy this one.

Basically the same game with more stuff added to your leveling system, and the killing Orc Captain systems. Bigger map with more to do then the first one.

Basically the first game on steroids so it should provide a great deal of fun.
