Hi everyone, I just returned from your fine city. Unfortunately I didn't get to see what I came for, the Superbowl. You see I bought Superbowl tickets from Ticketstock.net on ebay (ticket-stock) in Sep 2010. Well to make a long story short, when I flew to Dallas, this company (out of Ft. Worth) couldn't produce the tickets I bought. Upon further review, I found that they were selling similiar tickets for twice the amount. Sure I did get a refund but that doesn't cover the flights/accomodations. I however got the joy of watching the Superbowl in a hotel room. Ebay won't even let me give them a negative as it is over 60 days. So just a heads up if your looking for event tickets. I wouldn't wish this mess on anyone, even a cowboy fan, lol.

This is a common practice on Ebay. They sell the tickets and get the price. Then they put the tickets up for sale again at a higher price. If they sell, they screw the first guy and give him a refund and make more money from the second guy.

That means, don't buy tickets on Ebay to events that cost a lot. You WILL get screwed at some point. I bought tickets to a Rangers game from here in NY when I was going to be in Texas. I got screwed the same way. I ended up just buying $5 seats. Then walked to the 9th row on the 3rd base side and watched the game. I ended up paying $10 more (2 tickets), but got better seats.

I will never understand why people pay through the nose for these tickets and better cheaper tickets are sold in the parking lot.

Apparently you never tried to buy tickets to this superbowl. No tickets available in the parking lot less than 3000 each

Good article in the paper today.

For Fred Harrid, Super Bowl XLV proved to be more of a super bust.
The Virginia man and his wife, Rosa, shelled out more than $2,500 for game tickets and flew some 1,200 miles to attend their first Super Bowl game.
But just one day before the Pittsburgh Steelers and Green Bay Packers played at Cowboys Stadium, Harrid said, the Fort Worth ticket broker from whom he had bought the tickets informed him that he didn't have them.
"He gave me some cockamamie story that because of the weather, he wasn't able to get the tickets," Harrid said.
The couple instead watched the game in a room the retired Marine had rented at Naval Air Station Fort Worth.
"We couldn't even see the full screen," said Harrid, 48. "I never knew how much time was in the game."
Officials say dozens of people reported being victims of ticket fraud at Super Bowl XLV, held Sunday in Arlington.

$10,000 for travel, lodging, and meals? Dude doesn't seem too smart.

No. Not to this SB. But a few in recent years. Never had a (knock on wood) problem. Not for me but for others.

Too good to be true than it probably is. That is what this former Marine should have been thinking.
