CRAZY! whats funny is that the team that beat Man U yesterday (i forget the name of the team) almost scored a goal in similar fashion, the goalie kicked it off, and it went all the way to the Man U goal, but a Man U defender deflected it in, so technically it was an own goal

That's pretty funny. You could tell there was a really stiff wind blowing there in the stadium
My son had that happen to him last year... we were playing on a field with artificial turf with basically no padding underneath it, and a small field to boot. The other goalie punted it high and took a giant hop over his head and into the goal. Not funny at all when the shoe is on the other foot (so to speak).

Man U were playing Newcastle United, but as you say Phil Jones deflected the ball passed his own keeper. As it happens it didn't really have much of an impact, as they were already 2-0 down in the last minute of the game.
As for Tim Howard's goal. it was incredibly windy over here yesterday (and overnight), but is always funny when a keeper scores like that.
Shame it didn't help his team, as they lost 2-1 to Bolton anyway.

That was amazing..... too bad they ended up losing the match.
Still, it's great to see US players getting notoriety in the EPL. Him and Dempsey are really showing the world that the US can play.
