Tim Tebow shoes sell out in 5 minutes

Broncos rookie quarterback Tim Tebow is doing plenty of running in training camp. But if you wanted to run a mile in Tebow's shoes, you're too late.

At about 1:50 a.m. today, Nike put 500 pairs of its limited edition blue and orange Tim Tebow cross trainers on sale at NikeStore.com. Within five minutes they were sold out.

The Tebow shoes are part of an endorsement deal with Nike that will pay the former Florida star at least $300,000 a year, and potentially significantly more.

Nike says it won't re-stock the Tebow shoes, so your only chance of getting them now is to go on eBay. But don't worry: Nike will soon start an update of the old "Bo Knows" ad campaign by selling a line of "Tebow Knows" T-shirts.

Don't get the hype

If I read that correctly, they were only putting out the 500 pairs of that shoe, period. Plus there is a reference to his promise from a few years ago and all that stuff. Considering how many hundreds of thousands of rabid Gator fans and collectors there are out there, I don't see why this is newsworthy. That dude is considered royalty to Gator fans.
