Luckily for the Cowboys, there is an impressive wave of talent in this year's class to choose from. Stay away from any FA. Zuerlein should have taught you a lesson.

Cade York from LSU headlines the list after gaining a reputation of one of the more clutch kickers in college football last season. The junior connected on 15-of-18 attempts in 2021 and made a name for himself with a 57-yard field goal in the fog against Florida in 2020. He has hit on a kick from over 52 yards out in all three of his collegiate seasons. Thoughts?

Cameron Dicker is also a guy I'd pull the trigger on in the 6th.

Eh. If we actually use a pick on someone that isnt York, Ill be pretty po'd. Not much difference between Dicker and the priority FA guys.

Yorks career FG% over 50 yards is higher than Dickers total FG%

Oh for sure. I just like him because he went to UT and hopefully a rookie can strike gold like the Bengals did with McPherson

Coaches like game experience and seasoned veteran play, and tend to believe that helps settled with them in clutch kicks.

Coaches vary in terms of patience with rookie FG kickers. Would Bones (baaad to the Bones) Fassell be that kind of patience guiding Special teams coach with a rookie kicker ?

Some coaches are just set in their ways and more prefer settling with vet kickers, particularly one they are more familiar with.

i guess Scott Forbath (sp) retired or is kicking FGs elsewhere. i thought he subbed for Greg K when he was injured.

Looking at the FA, it's very squeezing fair pickings for free agent FG kickers out there. (pleeaz not the Indy kicker Bagley !!)

The FA group is pretty weak right now, which is probably why they havent signed anyone

They will take one with one of their 5th round picks. Heard it here first.
