Tips for Madden '11?

Hey all,

I've now become quite the online gamer. It's just so addicting and it keeps my mind from dwelling no everyday life (sort of like this place). I've now begun playing Madden, which I haven't played in years.

I'm not that good at some aspects of the game. Specifically, I get run over a lot. Is there a way I can tackle better or is that part of the game?

Lastly, any and all other tips and advice would be helpful. This is a great game!!

Oh, like how do I strip the ball? I could do that better on the '10 version.

To start the game put either crayton or williams at #3 wr (whichever you use less)

then pass to them 2 or 3 times get around 30 yards. move them to #1 and they will be double covered, put austin at #2 put bryant at #3 and destroy them.

Start Victor Butler over Marcus Spears at LE, he usually gets a sack and a few tfls evrygame.

L1 is to strip but be careful using it because it doesn't make them tackle they are actually going for the strip. Run witten on streak routes and hb screen to felix jones. I run the screen 5-8 times a games. keeps blitzing defenses honest.

Sounds good. One of the things I hate the most is when I lose connection, it records a loss for me. I don't know why, but that's what it does. I bought the fastest connection I could buy a few months ago, but I don't know if it's at full speed yet.

It's a fun game, rather challenging because you're limited in a lot of ways, but I think I could play better if I could get a few of these little intricacies down.

But if you insist, to keep from getting run over try using the hit stick and going low (flicking the stick downward). If you go high, you are more likely to be run over.

If you're getting run over on All Madden then there's no antidote for that, the computer makes you hit a guy 3 or 4 times before he goes down.

I picked up Madden 11 when I purchased my PS3 system. It's the first Madden game I've owned in at least ten years.

I played a game on the Pro level, and defeated the computer fairly easily. I raised the level to All Madden, and can't beat anyone.

My only tip is to wait for EA to patch some defensive awareness and tackling into the game :bang2:

If your opponent has less than 3 linebackers look to audible to a run if the situation allows it.

I have to play with a D-Lineman but I need to learn to play with a LB.

I've been playing with a RE-ROLB since I started playing football games.

The most effective play while playing online is using the Cover 2 play out of the 2-4-5 formation. Control either a MLB who is in man coverage or either safety who both are in zone coverage. On offense online, the best strategy I can give you is that Tight Ends can be extremely effective. Get the ball out to them quick and it can make offense much easier. Last but least, have fun. It's a video game. It isn't life or death. And always, always use the Cowboys.

I can't play LB either i'm to used to playing FS/SS, i can bring that S up in run support really fast and feel like i have fairly good control deep on passing plays. Only down side is really PA where i really get burned from time to time.

put Akawasi Owusu Ansah as ur 4th cornerback that should help vs people who use 4 wide sets. on ur nickel and dime packages Demarcus Ware and Anthony Spencer arnt in the game so put them as both of your ends and Igor as ur 2nd DT. screens are beautiful in this game and play action seems to blow.

play action is what it is real football. The only time it works for me in the game is when barber is on pace for 100 yards during a game and i run a playaction fade to williams. First play of the game PA deep slant always works as well
