Tom Brady approved as part-owner in Las Vegas Raiders

I wonder if Fox will end up just letting him go. Doesn't this interfere with his job quite a bit, limiting what he can do?
Yes. He can't criticize refs or other teams. Among other restrictions.

It’s Tom Brady it’s Fox I don’t see any restrictions . About the only thing he should avoid and the NFL probably directs this , no Las Vegas Raiders broadcasts for Tom. And as lousy as they are he’s probably glad

He's facing a long list of restrictions that will definitely compromise his ability to be a commentator, oddly enough however that doesn't include him not being allowed to broadcast Raider games.

Here's a partial list.

Here are some of the notable conditions and limitations Brady must deal with in the booth, via ESPN's Seth Wickersham:

  • Not permitted to be in another team's facility
  • Can not attend another team's practice
  • Can not attend in-person or virtual broadcast production meetings with coaches or players
  • Can not publicly criticize officials and other clubs
  • Must follow the NFL's gambling policy
  • Must follow the NFL's anti-tampering policies and limited to "strictly social communication with members of other clubs"

These rules do not apply to other members of the Fox crew.

If that’s true and Fox and Tom were aware of this why go ahead start a broadcast career . The only thing I can think of is he sells his share of the team .

OR he dumps broadcasting and works at trying to take over the team

Why would Fox invest this $ in Brady ( a lot $$ ) and Brady himself get involved just to dump out ? A minority share of the Raiders doesn’t sound all that great . The Davis spawn not going anywhere .

I think a share of the broadcast money is probably going towards buying into the Raiders.

He's not selling those shares ever. They are infinitely more valuable then his broadcast career. He'll never fulfill the full terms of his Fox contract.

That 'Davis spawn' is 69 years old, unmarried, and childless. His mother much older. The Raiders ownership setup is going to get messy in a few years.

NFL owners were concerned that Brady was buying into the team at a valuation below market value that's what the holdup was on their end. Brady and his partners are playing the long game.

That is certainly possible. From all appearances the Davis family is about gone. So Brady is betting that when things shake out, he might be able to buy more of the team or leverage his name, etc into getting appointed president of the team. Thus lots of clout.

I think Fox would celebrate getting out of the ridiculous contract they gave him. He's captain obvious in the booth.

Tom Brady in the crosshairs of the NFL after he was critical of the replay team in NY relaying the refs in GB to toss Branch of the Lions secondary for a dangerous helmet to helmet shot he have a Packer WR .

As part owner of the Raiders he can’t be critical of the refs as part of his Fox duties . I don’t see this broadcast job lasting .

I agree with Branch getting tossed he led with his helmet on the receivers helmet . A no no when your trying to limit concussions serious injury .

watching the replay I disagree. Penalty yes but not ejection.

you must have seen a different replay then what I saw

No Branch lead with the helmet crashed right into the receivers helmet . I thought for a minute Jack Tatum was the guided missle headed for Lance Alworth ….
