Tony Pollard looked noticeably more explosive hitting the hole today

Small sample size, and led to nothing, and was likely because of the design of the bills defense today playing their safeties high, but did anyone else notice this as well?
Fifty two of the most explosive yards i've ever seen in my life.

looked like Tony Pollard to me, if there was hole he would hit it and go down at first contact

he's one of the worst starting backs in the league

Agreed. I feel like we ran the ball pretty well. We just didn't stick to it. Obviously because we were behind

Oh bs. he's not even close to one of the worst starting RBs in the league. He's was 10th in the league in rushing before today's game. Again another person throwing out **** without doing homework.

Pollard has actually been playing great even if the numbers don't show it. Hes been getting crushed with penalties

Last week he had two 10+ runs called back. Today he got an 11 yard run called back on the weakest hold ever in the fiest half. Also had an 8 yard play called back. Lost almost 20 yards on dumb penalties on 2 plays

Pollard could easily be averaging 60 - 70 yards a game if not more

He definitely had a little more snap crackle pop tonight than the past few weeks. MM interestingly told a reporter recently that he runs the same plays for Dowdle that he orders up for Pollard. No big deal, perhaps.

There is no question Pollard is playing better and better as the season goes on. The last 2-3 games especially he is really hitting the hole hard and gaining some good yardage. There has been several plays it looks like he is just a step or two away from breaking a big gainer.

I wish the run blocking was more consistent so both Pollard and Rice could gash the defense more consistently.

I feel bad for the RBs a little bit. If they ever run for more than 10y, it's nearly a guarantee they play will be flagged for holding.

yeh .. i'm seeing " angry" runs .. but Pollard did not make the Pro Bowl or get franchise tagged for his angry runs.

- He was feared and valued because he displayed instant breakaway homerun burst .. he hasnt' really displayed
that this year . What has been his longest run or play this year ?

- When I see James Cook in Buffalo today...... Gibbs in Detroit ,... Mostert and Achane in Miami ... ET with Jax ....
we simply do not use Pollard in the same sense. Not in run game .. and definitely not as a pass receiver.
We just use him as a blitz blocker.
As statistically as we rank offensively, we are still limited by how we use our RBs.

- This coach scheme, OL blocking or play design, are not suited for his skill set. He's useless in the pass game as we don't
even use the RB screens, shallow crosses, swing flairs, etc.

- Bills OC Joe Brady knows how to use James Cook as such ... McCarthy & crew, dunno how to use Pollard as such
Coaching makes a HUGE difference.

Not that it made a difference but yes I noticed that during the first quarter and possibly into the second

Yep all the way to 10 points.
what’s the point of a reply like this? i already acknowledged it didn’t lead to anything, but was curious if it was just me or if other posters saw something similar to me. just something to consider moving forward, because if he has regained some juice it could really be beneficial

.....now if he could work on pass protection.

Pollard looked more explosive, Dowdle had a bad night. Too many mistakes to cash in on some nice Pollard runs

Maybe he hasn’t hit it in a while? I’m very explosive as well when that happens to me…
