That's right, I have more posts because I was already discussing the topic with others when you saw my name, went into a frenzy, and started your requisite Greatest American Hero fanboi attempt that fell flat again. Don't fault me for doing a thorough response job. This is how all our interactions go. You initiate while I'm already posting, looking for an "ah-ha, gotcha!" Every time. Coincidence? This is how I can predict your lack of control for the next time (like I did the last time).

Thing is, you didn't become a fanboi from being made to look foolish in a debate as is typical, you literally woke up one day and chose fanboiing. Again, you made that random psychologically revealing statement that told me exactly where all this comes from but it wasn't me who did that to you, dude. 9 months is great. It means your willpower is getting stronger. And you see that I addressed you as a fanboi then too, meaning it wasn't the first, second, or third time seeing you engage in that .... pattern .... of yours. I would think that he would have to be trying to save his job and his lawyers are probably instructing him the best way to do so.

18 million a year is a lot to lose.

He's definitely saying a lot of things he doesn't really need to say and I don't know if that's good for managing perception or not.

I do think he's sorry that he's drug his family into this and now looks bad in their eyes.

I think he got to the point he viewed it as part of life managing his pain.

My son-in-law's sister was killed by a drunk driver who had three DUIs so I don't really have to go into where my tolerance level is.

I know why he did it I don't think he started out being addicted to pain pills or alcohol I think his back pain took him there like a lot of people with sports related injuries.

That said Tony has always been a risk taker he never had a grasp on risk versus reward in his playing days and the spots haven't changed on that leopard.

I think he drove over the limit so many times it became totally commonplace and he just figured it was no problem making it to his grandparents.

But the reality is, we experience loss in life because of our own decisions. It often takes loss for us to "feel sorry". The two aren't mutually exclusive. Those people that refuse to learn from loss, that is a separate situation. We don't have access to Romo, so we simply don't know.

I mean we can claim it was his "risky nature", but Dak also got a DUI... If we are dissecting statements, Dak's is worse.

Yeah, Dak's statement is an example of NOT having a lawyer on staff to do that for you, lol. I get what he was trying to do there but it came out a little wonky. But even so, Dak's fortunes were ahead of him at that point and anything short of an NFL ban wasn't going to stop him from getting it if he could play well enough. Romo has all this post-football money at stake so of course he is going to lean on being as safe as he can to preserve it. Of course any statement he puts out there is going to look like it too.

I know the severity of the nature of this subject matter (sorry for your family's loss), and that you weren't necessarily using this metaphor as your main point. But....

Everyone easily remembers that last play, or the one that killed the game. People hardly EVER remember how or why it was we were so close in the first place.

10 times over and over to get and keep them in the game (like peytons Broncos, for example). the one time it failed...is the only one remembered. Nature of humanity I guess.

Facts show Romo was no choker, but for some in doesn't matter how many times you show 'em the numbers.
