Now after eating a brain muffin, which was suggested after a previous post, here is an observation:
The fanatics look forward to the draft for months. Doing and reading numerous mock drafts and listening to the endless "experts" how the draft is going to fall.
Each round takes so long. With "the pick is in", the fanatics have to wait for the 3-5 minutes of commercials then the drawn out walk to the podium and then the latest cause for this or that before the pick is announced.
The later rounds, has to be drawn out by each teams pick being introduced by past players, the cousin's daughter's of the mailman to give each pick.
Then after the picks comes how each team feels so better about their teams. Optimism fills their fanatic soul. Recall after Ceedee Lamb was selected the videos of Dallas fans screaming "SuperBowl" and look how this team finished......worse than the previous season.
The decades long tradition of the Dallas Cowboys is that this draft really didn't do much. Again, we will hear how much "talent" this team has and the continued end result will be the past results of the 25 years.
So back to the brain muffin and enjoy the latest optimism. To my fellow veteran Dallas fans, cherish those Jimmy Johnson and Tom Landry years.
