Trade down and get Moss

We have 4 glaring needs.

We will sign a kicker in FA eventually.
That leaves LB, RT and FS.

Those positions are pretty deep and fall in our favor in the late 1st-3rd rounds. If we could somehow trade down and get an additional 2nd, I would also strongly consider drafting Sinorice Moss. He would be a nice complimentary receiver with youth and special teams ability. It would be nice to have a young receiver that we wouldn't have to have an immediate major roll on offense. We would still be able to pick up the BPA in 2 of the 3 remaining need positions.

I don't love Moss but that's kinda beside the point. If we sign Owens, I'm not sure I would draft any WRs high. I'd probably look for guys who have been in the league a couple of years. Those guys will understand how it works and what they will need to do to stay employeed. Having TO on the roster could easily influence a young WR and who knows in what way? I'd probably not draft a young guy just yet. JMO.

I dislike the idea of drafting Moss. I think this is a player if his name wasn't Moss that we would be crucifing people for wanting to draft day one. Unproductive in college till a medicore senior year and is tiny to boot.

I agree. I wouldn't want him for a 1st or 2nd. He will be a complimentary receiver. His brother is just now rounding into a #1 receiver role and I don't think Sinorice is as talented as Santana.

I do think College stats don't say that much, but when someone doesn't become a starter at a school without top flight talent at the position it makes me wonder.

Even if we get TO which seems more and more likely, we still need to draft a WR in the mid rounds somewhere. Maybe not 2nd round, unless we do get extra first day picks, definitely somewhere between 2nd and 4th rounds.
