if Pitts was close to being available (perhaps still on the board by the 8th pick), I would say trade up and get him (no more than going to the 8th spot), but I think he will go earlier. he is a generational talent and is the new generation mismatch TE ala Kelce or Gronk and Gonzalez...more dangerous than a WR in fact as he can also line up outside, creating nightmare for defensive coordinators....he is the only offensive player I would consider in the first round.

I think the CB is a little deeper, with fairly reliable CBs available, and nobody that makes you go WOW, I must have him, given they are all good but they all have flaws.....

I think the saftey class is only two deep at the top with a deep drop off between Moehrig and the rest of the field. For Quinn's defense we definitely need a rangy reliable Safety.

if We could trade down to 14-18 range depending on how the draft goes, who is available, what their needs are etc..... we are getting some calls for the 10th pick from a few teams looking at QBs. the trade down should net at least another third rounder (plus 5th, 6th, etc. but not worried about those), giving us three in the 3rd and usual spot to hit some hidden Gems and address other needs like DT, LB, OT, another CB

getting Moehrig would be a coup, then targeting one of the CBs like Newsome II, Asante Samuel, or even Farley (injury concerns), Malifonwu, one of whom most probably would be available in the second. I doubt if Jarmin Davis would be dropping to top of 2nd as there is a lot of buzz about him, but if he is close, I wouldn't mind trading up as I see him as an impact player, so outside of Davis, then a CB, if Davis is available, then CB with first pick of round 3.

in Round three targeting DTs perhaps Marvin Wilson, who I think is under rated, Tyler Shelvin in lower part of round 3 (the big run stopper in the middle), Jaylon Twyman from pittsburgh and LBs like Browning, Cox or Bolton could all be targets.

in the third, we can perhaps if not having traded up in the 2nd, then grab another CB, with high upside like Molden, Adebo,

there are also some OTs that are interesting, with a lot of upside that might be available in the 3rd, as we have to look for smith's replacement as he has been injured the past 5 years and deteriorating fast. perhaps like of Jenkins or Spencer Brown (a bit undersized, but has the frame),

just some thoughts....

I'm all for getting a safety, but I wouldn't draft one until the top 25 range. All three are more 2nd rd prospects in my mind and there will be better players ahead of them. Trade up from 44 to top of rd 2, or even late rd 1, makes the most sense.

I really like your players and strategy, I would not hesitate to take Moerhig or Newsome in a trade down scenario, we need the starting safety and CB. Both Richie Grant, Jevon Holland are also possibilities in the 2nd if we take Newsome first. For CB's in the 3rd...Melifunwu, Adebo are targets on my mock drafts at 75 (i'm not sure they start this year but could be ready late in season). If we could land another 2nd rounder in the trade down as well and grab a DT, LB (A.McNeil/Bolton) draft is lookin real good. I like Marvin Wilson in the 3rd and Jalen Tyman too..he's a nice sleeper in the late 3rd/4th rd. My only question is Asante Samuel...is he viable as an outside corner with his size? He's got the game..thinking he'll be a good slot CB along with Tre brown

no trade ups in he 1st. Yes to trading down. I need a QB to fall so New england can trade with us to get their guy. Now i'd trade both #2 picks back into the 1st if a good defensive player falls.

I just hope that if we trade down we either get 2022 picks or we trade back up at least once.

All these picks are nice but I'd sure like some more first round grades on the roster and I'd really like a top 10 grade on the roster.

Nailed it!

You could add Chicago in there also.

I dunno about chicago. That might be too far down for my tastes but it depends on the board. I'd take Barmore at 20 in a second but i'd be pissed if he was gone at like 18 or 19. I'm way more comfortable at about 15 and still getting a good defensive player.

I know hes supposedly the best but has he even played much single high? Honest question

perhaps, depending. I have seen Moehrig rated anywhere from 15 to 35....so its pretty wide range, but most have him as the top saftey...if we can get down to 20s and still get him, that would be even better and more 2nd, 3rd round picks. maybe Chicago wants to trade up to 10 from 20 and we may net a 2nd and a 3rd.

He is a good prospect, probably need to get in front of Jax to get him at 24.

I’d kill for a trade down for Moehrig or Holland. I love both.

Holland is severely underrated because he didn’t play last year... he’s going to be a really productive FS for whoever lands him. Great instincts, forces turnovers, and is good in coverage.

I think both Moehrig and Holland sneak into first round... the Saints and Packers could both use them.

Definitely dont trade up for Pitts. I have no issues trading back in the draft and taking Moerwig, Horn, Barmore, or a LBer in the first and getting an extra 2nd rounder.

Good thoughts!!!

I’d take Barmore in the trade down and then take Grant and then Melifonwu in rd 2, McNeill and Browning in rd 3

The CB class is deep, the FS class is not. Passing on a CB at 10 to get an extra pick can work out in your favor, if you do it smartly.
