I was messing with the trade chart today. Here is a PFN trade down mock:

Traded 24 to the Falcons for 43 and 58

43-Travis Jones NT UCONN
56-Sam Williams Edge Miss
58-Jalen Tolbert WR South Alabama
88-Leo Chenal LB Wisconsin
129-Jelani Woods TE Virginia
155-Cole Strange C Chatt.
167-J. Salyer G Georgia
176-Hassan Haskins RB Michigan
178-Danny Gray WR SMU
193-Kyle Phillips WR UCLA

I doubt they wait that long to address OL, but really like this class.

Addressed a lot of position needs!

I see we again fleeced another team in a Cowboyszone trade.
Nice. lol
fwiw...we for sure would have to at least include pick 129 in that trade.

Looking at chart, extra 4th is probably the price

I am gonna beat this dead horse but taking Chanel at 88 and no OL help taken to that point would bother me. Interior OL is way more important than nabbing a 2 down LB.

How about this one then, changes in bold.

43-Travis Jones NT UConn
56-Tyler Smith OL Tulsa
58-Sam Williams ED Ole Miss
88-Leo Chenal LB Wisconsin

155-Cole Strange OC Chattanooga
167-Cole Turner TE Nevada
176-Eyioma Uwaruzike DL Iowa State
176-Kevin Austin WR Notre Dame
178-Alex Wright DE UAB
193-Matt Araiza P San Diego State

As I said, team wouldn't wait that long to address the OL.

Really like this class. Like Smith as a 2nd rounder, not at 24.

Jones would help the run game
I think Tolbert could surprise some people he's got some moxie
Assuming they aren't worried about off field issues Williams could contribute year one.
Chenal is a beast against the run which I'm worried they probably won't address although they did bring davis and winfrey in
Strange is underrated and could turn out to be a steal
The knock I've seen on Salyer is he's not a knee bender but he has power and could be good value
Grey had some drops but he could really help the short passing game that we struggled to develop last year when defenses started playing us different.

That's better but honestly, Smith is high on upside but he's raw. I wonder if he'll be ready to step in right away. Given what the two dipwads leading the front office have done, the Cowboys need a starting OG out of this draft (unless they pull one vet out of their butts soon). I am not sure Smith is that good, that early.

That being said if they did take him, you could just throw him right into the mix and let him sink or swim.

Heard on a local sports show that Dallas showed a lot of interest in Tyler Smith. He won't be there after the first round.

Tyler Smith, Tulsa OT | NFL Draft Scouting Report

His scouting report is overlooked at times, but Tulsa OT and NFL Draft prospect Tyler Smith has some of the highest upside in the 2022 class.

Tulsa OT Tyler Smith may be a redshirt sophomore, but his 2022 NFL Draft scouting report shouldn’t be taken lightly. Some will think he left too early, but the Golden Hurricane standout showed more than enough on tape to earn an NFL opportunity. There are still things to clean up, but Smith could legitimately have some of the highest upside in the 2022 tackle class.

Tyler Smith NFL Draft Profile
  • Position: Offensive Tackle
  • School: Tulsa
  • Current Year: Redshirt Sophomore
  • Height: 6’6″
  • Weight: 332 pounds
Tyler Smith Scouting Report
There’s one thing you truly can’t teach, and that’s athleticism. Some schools are renowned for their athletic training programs, and prospects can undergo transformations in college. But some players just have higher athletic capacity than others. Athleticism is the prime unteachable trait, but it can be hard to teach physicality as well.

Much like athleticism, there are nuances. Some players find it easier to channel their physicality when they become more confident. That comes with experience. But at the same time, some players simply have a physical edge that others don’t have. This is why Smith is such an enticing prospect — because he has both unteachable traits mentioned here.

Smith’s athletic profile
Smith stands at 6’6″, 332 pounds. Predictably, he has a strong base and a dense frame, with excellent core strength and power absorption capacity. He also has the high-level strength and power capacity to redirect players and drive them out of plays. But for his size, he’s also an eye-catching athlete.

The Tulsa OT explodes out of his stance heading upfield. He gears up quickly and carries great momentum into his blocks. Moreover, he’s an energetic, twitched-up athlete who easily flows to the second level.

It appears to be a 1st rd prospect within NFL circles, but he is too raw for my liking in rd 1

I was messing with the trade chart today. Here is a PFN trade down mock:

58-Jalen Tolbert WR South Alabama
88-Leo Chenal LB Wisconsin

167-J. Salyer G Georgia
176-Hassan Haskins RB Michigan
178-Danny Gray WR SMU
193-Kyle Phillips WR UCLA

I doubt they wait that long to address OL, but really like this class.
I dont believe they will wait 5th rd. I hope not.

I think it's a great haul, but I think landing Strange and Salyer that late is unrealistic.

Was just about to say this. The mock addresses OL “late” with 2 top 100 picks. Those 2 could easily both start on our line at LG and C next year

If they trade down to the end of the 1st, I can definitely see them considering Tyler Smith or Travis Jones.
Smith has legit All-Pro LT athletic ability with size, power and good arm length.
- His power makes him an option at OG also.
- Definitely the type that could play OG early and move to LT at some point.

I think Travis Jones ends up late first or very early 2nd.

I like both players, but it appears if they like Smith, they are going to have to take him at 24. Credible insider this week said, Smith is going to be drafted much higher then many envision, said the Titans are eying him at 26.

That's what the sports show host was saying, he broadcasts Tulsa games. They were asking about him
playing guard and then switching to left tackle after Tyron Smith retires.
