Trading down and receiving a player instead of a pick??

I am okay taking a player but I would only take someone young, with at least 2 years left on his rookie deal. I would not take a player making a lot of money already or in the final year of his rookie contract.

A 1st round draft pick is with the team for 5 years. That's 5 years of a cheap contract. I think that has a lot of value to a team like Dallas.
