Training Camp Coverage Changes

There’s loads of stuff out there.

As you said, like every year, it’s rehashed.

80% of it is “content creators” who do nothing more than tweet quotes from press conferences and stealing from whichever one of them tweeted it first.

A smaller amount of them actually do a bit of research and formulate their own ideas and produce something that’s somewhat their own.

Gotta go find those and tune out the rest.

You can’t on the Zone as your only source of Cowboys info

Yep 100 percent this just add the removal of less padded practices. Every time I see a tweet/x post from someone I look here to to verify how much of it is true. Really appreciate all you Zone folks. I wonder how many of them "content creators" also look here for info.

Yea. And sportscenter turned into a perpetual discussion of how they played and why. Rather than showing highlights.

It just means we are getting old. It’s fine.

Youtube Podcast are my way of getting Training Camp info...there is a lot of actual footage to watch

I don't know if its just me, but it seems coverage of Cowboys training camp has dropped off considerably from where it used to be (10-15 yrs ago).

I remember When you would get multiple updates and videos from the media talking heads throughout a single day of coverage...all types of analysis. You would have the internet podcasters dissecting every play. Player updates were constant through out the day. Then you had fans sharing videos and reporting out their observations. It felt like nirvana. Now your lucky to get a half dozen tweets and videos that just keep getting reposted by everyone. Over 80% of the post here are not even related to what is happening in training camp but general conversations about the Cowboys that happens pre-training camp (don't get me wrong this not a criticism of the fans on this site, just the lack of training camp coverage in general).

If you want some quality NFL coverage, you sometimes have to look beyond the local guys.

You don’t get the individual play stuff but, honestly, I think about 1 in 10 of the local guys tweets showing plays and posted by these guys was something they actually witnessed.

I highly recommend these two podcasts. I listen on my drive time.

Joan Collins used to ask for a thin layer of Vaseline to be applied to the camera lenses during the filming of Dynasty. They claim it made her look vibrant and beautiful. I think the lenses in Oxnard are covered with Vaseline.
