So I remember people recommending mexican food joints near the Alamodome a couple of years ago. What is the best/closest mexican restaurant near the alamodome? I think I'm going the first day and want to grab some grub with the family between practices. I just can't remember what people said was the best joint on the riverwalk....

How much money are you willing to spend? And are you seeking Tex-Mex or Mexican cuisine?

If you want Mexican cuisine and are willing to spend more, I recommend Acenar on the Riverwalk.

Tons to choose from...

La Margarita and Mi Tiera are always good choices...

It's not Mexican food really, but I highly recommend Boudro's on the Riverwalk. Best guacamole ever. I had a hamburger there and sampled my wife and kid's meals too. Every one of them was aces.

Dick's Last Resort was great too.

The one Mexican place we did try was Paloma Blanca and it was very good.

Bourdro's is great but be prepared to wait if you don't have reservations.

We walked up at opening time and there was soon a wait. I would wait. It was worth it.

Wow, all over the place. Maybe i'll just put them all in a hat and draw.

Anyone seen the training camp TIMES yet? I know the first date..but no start times.

Good call, Hos.

Boudros is, in my opinion, the best restaurant on the river walk. I didn't mention it because it's not Mexican food. It serves wild game and seafood primarily.

I highly recommend the duck. It was delectable -- and I'm not someone who typically eats that type of cuisine.

It's San Antonio, just pick one, they're all good.
